Root Lag when installing apps from market

Get the same - also LeeDroid A2SD. Got much worse after I flashed this (from stock) - always assumed it was write speeds to card versus internal along with the A2SD script perhaps ahving to do more stuff?

Partitioned with ROM Manager so that probably didn't help (have a GPArted CD burned for when I can be bothered to do it properly and extend to 1gb). Am using a class 4 16gb card as the class 6s are still too expensive at that size. Waiting for them to come down before I get one.

I didn't notice lag on my class 4 either. Maybe its a sense rom thing too?

Wouldn't imagine so, but you never know. Probably find out myself soon - 2.3 Sense for the Desire is meant to be coming early Summer so probably 6 months for a stable rom.......using LauncherPro already so I doubt I'll last that long and would imagine 2.4 will be on custom roms by then...

The only thing I really like about the Sense rom is the keyboard.ime, which I find pretty accurate, plus I need written Chinese for studies. I assume I could pull that from the Leedroid and use it in other roms?

You can make your own in the high res kitchen here:

http://www.gimpsta.com/themer/

You have to create an account (free) but worth it.

Just make sure you choose a froyo high res version (Also works on GB)

They keyboard alone is not enough however, you also need clicker.apk (for the settings).

Just install them as normal apps (rather than system) and they follow you from rom to rom. If you wipe, you can restore with titanium backup
