Root x8 root help

Hi guys i just rooted my x8 phone with superoneclick when it was 2.1 update.
I did everything the post about 2.1 update with ssuperoneclick said when i rebooted my phone i got a new icon which was the superuser i thought that root was succeful but i download some apps like no advertisements and it work but the titanium backup didnt work and from the post with the 2.1 add ons i could get the x recovery and exept this i dowload ghost commander file manager when i open it i found a root folder which wasnt in the sd card ( in sd card there was no root folder ) and i tryed to open it but i could everytime i clicked it just puts me from the start and it doesnt open the folder
If anyone can hlep me i would really appreciate it

guys i solved all my problems except that i still cant undearstand how to download and use the x recovery

Download the zip file
Extract the files
Paste them into system/bin
Reboot
