Help lock slider screen causes phone to freeze and reboot

Looked at the similar threads that popped up but didn't find any answers for me.

A couple times a day I will slide the lock screen and it will freeze and auto reboot.

Rooted D2G
Stock Rom
Launcher Pro
Juicedefender Ultimate Juice custom profile.
Titanium backup with bloatware frozen.
SetCpu- screen off set to 300 max/min. Never had this issue for the first month or so I was rooted.
I have widgets for brightness, silent/vibrate/ring mode, bluetooth, wifi, and gps all by Curvefish. No other widgets, not even weather.

Any tips suggested.

Another thing is bluetooth never seems to work. I work at a lexus dealer so I try to hook bluetooth up when I go on roadtrips. Gotta search that one.

Try turning your screen off min/max to 300/600. I could see it being the processor being tied up with widgets and not spooling up to speed fast enough when you turn the screen on, causing a reboot.

I tried that thanks. Still happened once though. Setcpu seems different. Wouldn't let me change settings like before. Screen shot attached.

Ohhh, this is starting to irk me and it is not even my phone. Lets analyze the OP:

"Juicedefender Ultimate Juice custom profile." > uninstall it, you can get it back later.

"Titanium backup with bloatware frozen." > Unfreeze all of them for now.

"SetCpu- screen off set to 300 max/min. Never had this issue for the first month or so I was rooted.
I have widgets for brightness, silent/vibrate/ring mode, bluetooth, wifi, and gps all by Curvefish. No other widgets, not even weather." >

Uninstall SetCpu > get rid of the Widgets by Curvefish.

Hook up to computer. Search the SD card to see if stuff lost is there. I bet it is, music and all.

SBF back to stock or use the Droid 2 bootstrapper to get you back to the original rooted condition, if you have the Droid 2 Bootstrapper app and made a back up before you started all the stuff You did/added.

Run you phone and see if problem still exists. Give it a few days without tinkering with it. If she runs normal then start re-doing one thing at a time until the problem re-occurs, then ditch the culprit. If still has original problem, take phone in for replacement.

It is a PIA, but ...

i have had this same problem, got a new phone had it, switched to a new phone, got a new memory card, only downloaded a few new songs, left my entire playlist on last phone, and it worked...stopped the sliding restart problem....but ill be dang if the power plug doesnt hollow out somehow and stop taking a charge...so i get another new d2g, as soon as i switch my memory card over and start it up slider problem is back.......

i have had nothing but hell with 7 of these dang things.....i just want a slide out keyboard and liked the original droid, and dont like blackberrys and use it for work

I just do not know what say. I have had this original D2 since Sept 10 and have no problems at all. The only reason I am rooted is so I can use D2 Bootstrapped to back up my phone once a month or so. I often un-root with Z4 and run the phone normally. I stream radio 4-6!he's a day, listen to books on audiable app, surf the web, got to Facebook, play music with Doubletwist app, and play my Freecell app. The only thing I do not have on the phone is the app that messes with CPU speeds.

I am just totally happy with this phone and will not replace it until it dies.

Copy everything off your card, format it (on your computer), then format it in the phone (settings -> sd cards and storage -> unmount card, then format card), then copy everything back to it. Sometimes the cards get corrupted and cause weird issues. It's either your card, or some combination of apps that auto restored to your new phone, since those are the only real common factors.
