Problem uninstalling Easy Tether Lite & PDANet Android from Win XP-SP2 - Moto Droid2glbl on Verizon

I have looked at all related subjects here on android forums but none pertained to my particular situation. Here it is:

-I have first installed Easy Tether Lite.
-Followed the on screen instructions and worked like a charm.
-Few minutes later, I have tried to download a tv show via bittorrent
-Don't know the cause but DNS lookups were totally lost and could not get to any website.
-Decided to reboot the damn machine
-When it came back up, same symptom persisted, i.e. No DNS. Although, when I click on try icon and select connect, connection was very fast, much faster than the first time around.
-Repeated reboot and retry couple of more times to no change
-Decided to install PDAnet and installed it without removing Easy Tether Lite first.
-Again, it worked like a charm on the first try too.
-This time I did not attempt bit torrent downloading, assuming it might be the culprit.
-Put the system to sleep before I go to bed last night
-This morning, it can not connect to the internet.
-Decided to do a clean start by uninstalling both Easy Tether Lite and PDANet.
-Control Panel --> Add/Remove programs.
-Neither went away at the first try. But now, I do not have eaither of them in the list of installed programs.
-Under Network Interfaces Section (of the Device Manager) I still see Easy Tether network adapter and PDANet network adapter and selecting either of them and trying to uninstall, does nothing but hanging the system to no end.
-I do not have system restore for this laptop as it was given to me by a friend who was not technically savvy.

Any help regarding uninstalling these two network adapters, by any method, including registry hacks, are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You uninstalled using control panel? You should always uninstall using the Uninstall program in that programs folder in the start menu. Sometimes, control panel will just uninstall the program, while the uninstall program that comes with the program will usually uninstall everything.

Thanks for the insight but I am past that point right now unfortunately. There is no more a program group with an uninstall option under my start menu.

I need help to remove them forcefully.

Try re-installling them, then uninstall with the method i posted.

Already tried that for PDANet, but the PDANet adapter still shows up under device manager and refuses to uninstall and because of this, I am getting an error message saying, a previous installation has been found, if it is not there, try manually uninstalling the PDANet adapter, which I am unable to from the get-go.
