this usually only happens to me when my connection sucks and I end up trying to send a text again and then the first and my current text goes through.

I did get that double text on my first fascinate plus email would not sent unless I turn the phone off and on. Then finally Verizon just sent me a new phone and the problem was solve.

If it happens all the time no matter of location then you may have a defective phone.
