htc desire hd sim card cover

just snapped my cover trying to change sd card..****ing fuming.is there any way htc will send me a new one for free..i've had the phone for 2 weeks

Still in retailers warranty, go back to where you bought it and they should honour you.

If you'd read the rest of the thread, you'll see that HTC have admitted it's a fault and sent out replacements for free....

Just go through the support page on there website Andy. Busted mine the day i got it, contacted them to complain and they sent me out a new one along with another battery cover

I deffo need to get a replacement for my battery cover, that thing is so hard to take off.

Start here mate. Fill in all the fields and send the mail. Guy from support will email you back saying they will look into it. When i filled in the description i just loaded it up how the fault is all over the net, people having the same problem. how you have paid a lot of money for the phone (and are delighted with it) only to be let down by a cheap shoddy design fault.....blah blah blah.

Nothing to lose.

The SD and sim card are under a different cover then the battery....

PS I will add that yes the battery cover is a pain in the @$$ to take off!! Only had to do it once when I was turning on the phone for the first time and had to remove the plastic piece covering the battery contacts.

so when will i expect a reply from htc.i think they customer services is piss poor.like they need photo of crack to investigate it.there is nothing to investigate just it's a crap design and in the meantime while they do a investigation my phone looks wank..

I've heard that they have good customer service and they will replace it no problem. I hope that is correct because I don't want any problems... Although I am going to put an extended warranty on it. Covers full replacement if I lose it, someone steals it, the screen cracks... pretty much everything except liquid damage.. and in that case you just lose the phone! lol 7$ a month and at the time of replacement it's 150$ You can only do a max of two per year of course.
