I manually ran the update last night (update.zip on the card) I had never done any other upgrade.

Everything seems to work fine, except for the music player, the camera and the gallery (viewing images) Even if i browse to a music or image file, they cannot be viewed.

I removed all the music from my card, except for 1 or 2 songs.

The music player stops with an error message (Sorry, the application has stopped unexpected)

The camera, the error message flashes up quickly and then goes away. I can't even read it.

When I go into the gallery, i get the empty gallery screen and it says 'no items"

I tried wiping the data for each application with no results.

Can I reload these specific apps some how?

ps. I also downloaded another music player... but it does not load either.

I updated the same way (update.zip to SD). No issues with my camera/gallery. Camera just took a picture and saved it, Gallery is filled with the same images as before. I don't use the music player, just Pandora/Slacker. Sorry you had troubles. Wish I knew how to remedy this for you.

Same problems here. as well as Agenda widget not working, and MyPod crashing/ force closing.

if you know your msl you can rtn reset the phone and you will be able to view the pics - they are there - several people are reporting this and after a reset it resolves this issue - sorry for the inconvenience-

I'm having that problem to, what is a msl and a rtn reset? If I do that will I lose my contacts, music and pics? It won't let me go into settings and change my ringtones either. Any help?

I had several issues using update.zip which though i tried, I was unable to resolve. I ended up using the Samsung update tool which wiped the phone but resolved the issues. Fortunately, I was rooted and ran a full Titanium b/u before the update. After getting to a stable system, I rooted and restored the b/u. Even without a b/u, a wipe of the phone will not cause you to lose pictures or music or anything else stored on the sd. Restoring contacts is as easy as re-entering your google account. Unless previously backed up, old sms messages will be lost.

I'm having the same problem... how do I do the reset? Also any info on what I need to back up? I did the update w/o backing anything up... all my contacts are here.. only problem is the one stated above

This worked to fix my calendar syncing issue

Menu-Settings-manage applications-all-calendar storage
then clear data
all your google stuff will update then

As suspected, there is something with the sd card. I confirmed this by putting in a different card. the camera, gallery and music player worked.

So to fix, I mounted my phone, and copied the contents of my sd card to a folder on the pc.

Then, unmounted the phone and reformatted the sd card. Menu - Settings -> SD Card and phone storage -> format SD card

I then confirmed that the camera worked.

Then I mounted to the PC and replaced all the content that I had stored to the PC folder. I did not overwrite the folders that were quickly created on the phone.

The camera works, the music player works, and teh gallery shows all my old photos.

I had moved one app to the sd card as a test. It does not work! So i'd suggest not having any apps on the sd card before you do this.

Anyone know ho to change the title of this thread to include the word "FIXED"

Thanks for this link...it fixed my camera bug, but did nothing for media player and gallery.
