Help JuiceDefender Stratigies for Optimus V

I decided to install JuiceDefender due recent poor battery life! So far, I have it enabled and on default mode but it looks like a fairly complex app...does anyone have any recommendations for custom setup or even some tips on how the app works and what to expect?

I am looking for a profile that will add even few hours to the battery life but still give me full access to full phone features.

I tried using it but had problems with my 3g not working

I've been trying Juice Defender for a few days, and I too noticed that sometimes when I'd wake the phone I could not get a 3G connection. So I would go into Juice Defender and disable it while I used the 3G connection then would reenable.
Before Juice Defender I was getting about 2 days, now 3 - 3 1/2.
I'm not sure I'll keep it on as I'm able to charge my phone throughout the day/night whenever I need it. I suppose if I was going on a trip I might use it.

I think the new "beta" version works better. The regular version just stopped working after a few days for some reason, kept seeing my battery saved meter go down and down. But the beta version has kept the meter at 1.6+ for a week now.

Now if I could just figure out how to stop it from turning data off while I am listening to the radio with the screen off.

After one day, I have already noticed an improvement in battery life! I'm just still trying to figure out if I am getting my email notifications on time! Messaging seems to come in fine. I also keep seeing the gallery as a major battery eater! Shouldn't JuiceDefender turn it off automatically?

Also, is there a better battery saver app out there?

I was referred to an app called Green Power Free which I prefer...it's simpler and more aggressive to me on power issues, but I do have to keep it away from disabling wifi at times...there's a switch to do so.
I looked at Green Power but decided on JD...I might still try GP if JD doesn't work out!

I switched to Power Saver Pro too, I havent had any trouble with 3g or wifi issues and still get battery life.

How are the customizations on Power Saver Pro?

Thinking about getting one of these battery saving apps. I'm a mom and usually have my phone plugged in a lot. Yesterday, I had it out all day from 11AM until 9PM and my battery was at 20% when I got home. I'm not displeased I'd just like to defend my juice or save my power or go green or something. I need to compare the different options and decide.

OK, I think I figured out how to keep weatherbug and Xfinity email on...I used custom settings and configured those two apps to SERVICE so they wouldn't be turned off. I'm still not sure what the difference between Service and Visible is, but it seems to be working!

Service keeps it always on, visible only keeps it on if it is on the screen or in the notification bar. I was having a problem keeping pandora on even though it was in the notification bar, but I just needed to reboot and now it works fine.

I like it better than juice defender, I had problems with 3g when using juice defender with power saver I just used the basic settings and I had 25% battery at 10pm last night.
