Help How do i know my browser is closed?

Hello mm43.

Unless you're using something like a task manager, just go into menu > settings > applications > manage applications > menu > sort by size. Wait for it all to load, then click the browser you're using ("browser," "Dolphin," etc) and if the "force close" button is not greyed out it's running.

Clicking that button will of course stop the browser.

Some task managers can be configured to empty caches and close all programs when exited, etc. No need for them, in my opinion, because of the ease of the menu path to the application manager and the tools in there. ;)

Not using a task manager All I want to do is know my browser isn't sitting there using my web allowance when I think it's shut
Do I have to check in applications folder all the while then?

good 2.2 controls things nicely, no need for an app killer or manager (in fact they will clash)
pages aren't running in background but being cached for speed and ease of retrieval (from what i can gather).
you're already doing the right thing:p

Not very often I seem to do the right thing lol:D

Thanks again

Dont suppose you know how to empty gmail trash on the phone as well? lol
It won't go

ok just had a play with gmail app, even easier way to delete, when looking at inbox, there is a greyed out tick on the right, as soon as you touch one and turn it green, popup appears at bottom of screen archive, delete, labels. check the emails you want deleted, and multiple emails bye bye:p

Thanks Quite a few to tap then. But they just go from the inbox to the bin and you start all over again
Was hoping for an empty the bin option. But never mind lol:)
