Help youtube video share/facebook

Can't seem to share video via the youtube app. Any other Inspire owners experiencing this?

If you want to try and recreate this on your device, go to your youtube app/widget. In the top right hit the more button, share, choose facebook. Mine opens facebook in a browser rather than the fb app and just hangs. If you could check to see if you Inspire is doing the same thing please report back. Ty

First I will start off with the Facebook-Youtube problem. The day before yesterday I decided to click on youtube, I found a video I liked, just like I do once a day and I hit menu, brings up the share option and I decided to click on the comments box to bring up the keyboard and NOTHING... I could not even post the video to Facebook and the only button that would work is the cancel button, which brought up another share window with the same problem. Since I have some kind of OCD problem with things not working as they should, I have spent almost every waking moment since, trying to fix the problem; been online and in settings of every app, on and on. This problem seems to be going on with a lot of people and no solutions in any forums as what to do, or the ones they do offer do not work. I am left with these three conclusions. 1. Youtube is messed up in my phone someway. 2. Facebook is messed up in my phone someway. 3. This is a virus. I have reloaded the Facebook app but nothing and Youtube is just Youtube. So tomarrow I plan to return the phone to factory settings and let life begin again. As for the other problem which was a three day problem with no sleep, a bluetooth and car stereo, I will post about that in a bluetooth section of this forum.

I have performed a system restore and the problem still exist for me. Please update if you find a solution.

I just reset the phone to the factory settings and the problems is still there. All that hell of restoring............ breathe. The reason like Facebook and my Smartphone is because I can share videos I find on Youtube. Grrrrr.

Called Motorola, see if they new about the problem, went thought all the fix it solutions they have, their conclusion, I broke it. Considering I treat the phone like a new born baby, no bumps scapes scratches, water damage or bad hot and cold enviroments, I went off on them and they concluded it is defective because I so easilly broke it OMG!!!!!! I asked, what about everyone else in the forums, did they, touch theirs the wrong way, one too many times, create an unstable emotional state? They said to return the phone and get a new one. So really they have no clue about this problem nor do they know what to do about it. I'll take it back and get another one. SIGH.......

...what if you log out of Facebook, and YouTube, and then log back in. Now try again, and see what gives.

Yeah, Ive logged in and out of both, on the computer, on the droid x, at the instruction of Motorola, before and after a complete factory reset, at verizon wireless today as they passed my phone around to about 15 employees and some customers who claimed to have the cure. It is going under warantee and they are mailing me a new one. My only problem is that I dont want this to happen again. We tried a factory reset with the SD card in it, and with the SD out, I mean there is nothing left, different batteries (Go figure???) but nothing so I get a new droid.

I haven't attempted to share a video from Youtube to Facebook. However, I did have a problem uploading videos from my gallery to Youtube. I couldn't upload directly from the gallery or by using the Youtube app itself.

The problem was resolved by signing into the Youtube app with my Youtube login rather than my Gmail login. Apparently there was a problem with the linked accounts. I have no idea if this will help you solve your issue.

In Youtube app, Menu -> My Channel -> Sign out (top right corner).
After signed out:
Add account -> enter username@youtube.com

Well the I.T. in me thanks you for helping figure this one out! I will try different size videos and report back.

I GOT MY NEW PHONE. I set it up, loaded the facebook app and went to youtube to upload the cute little girl who plays a keyboard and sings (something I have been having nightmares about because it does not work, this little girl haunts me) and IT FROZE UP AGAIN. And yes I signed in and out of youtube, tried large videos and small ones. Then I HAD AN IDEA.... I signed into Facebook on my wife's Facebook account. I very easilly posted the little girl youtube video on her facebook page. CONCLUSION IS...... It is not the phone, it is not the Facebook App and it is not the settings on your facebook account, it is Facebook itself out there in where ever their server is. The app works fine with my wifes account but not mine, they have done something that makes some peoples accounts not work. SOOOoooo. I made a new account and added myself as a freind so I could do an add freinds request sent out to all my freinds under my new account and it works, have to reload all my pictures again, but I am back.

Yeah totally sucks, have to put all my interests and personal info back in with pictures. Hope all my freinds accept my freinds request and not think it is a scam. But I am loading youtube videos again.

Funny I haven't tried the new account yet but tonight FB made me re initiate my account. I just haven't tried it on my phone yet because it's on charge...

I am having the same problem. I just copied the link and posted on the full site. It does suck, I could at least do that with my captivate. So how does it have to do with the fb account? Did it all of the sudden change when I got a new phone?

All I know is that there is something a little different with the share page of the Facebook site from account to accout that does not work with what seems like Android. For the most part it works for everyone, but there is those of us that the code that is used on the share Facebook page is slightly different and the page does not load up all the way. I have turned my old Facebook setting back to the original with no privacy and nothing. All I could do was use a new account and it still works. I would bet there is more people with this problem, but they are people who could care less about posting youtube videos on facebook and so they either dont know or dont care. One cool thing was is that I freind requested all my old freinds and have been accepted by 95% already, talk about a moral booster. MY WIFE HAS NOT ACCPETED ME YET!! LOL. But she is still learning and away on a work trip, so she needs a little instruction. Nevermind she must have figured it out, Ive been accepted last night, I was worried there.

1. sign out of Facebook on your device...
2. go to Facebook online
3. remove access for HTC\Mobile devices (accounts \ privacy \ apps and websites \ remove)
4. sign back into Facebook on your device
5. try the YouTube\Facebook upload again
6. post your findings...

I keep thinking about this. Share page will not load up all the way, must need to clear the chache. But after two Droids and a factory reset, can't be more cleared and different than that. Not the Droid, not the settings in the Droid. Something happens to an individul's account to cause this, I have eleminated all other possibilites, so what happens and did I do it with settings on Facebook? I changed every setting, changed it back to original, did all kinds of combinations and even left Facebook, which you are gone, but if you re-enter in your login and password they have saved everything for you to come back, so your never really gone, more like invisible with option to reappear. Something happens to your particular facebook account that does not allow droid to post youtube videos on facebook, that simple. I worry it is going to happen again.
