I don't think, unless you're specifcally accessing system/OS type areas where you would need superuser/root access? Otherwise I'd assume the /sdcard location would be fine.

I will say I have NOT installed this yet on my Atrix, but I had it up and running on my [root'ed] Captivate.

OK, just installed it :D Man, do I love OTA, remote web installs!!

I'll check it out in just a sec...

OK, more than a second :D Had to make some stir fry, deploy code and get on deck for Justified.

Anway...

I installed it (again, via the web interface), ran it, configured name and password, fired it up. Broadcasting on an internal IP (WiFi) and defaults to port 2121.

Connected via FileZilla and was able to read/write, no problems. In fact, I was trying a wallpaper resize to respond to somebody else, and used SwiFTP to move the JPG over to /mnt/sdcard.

I am root'ed FYI.

I want to edit some system files in motorola atrix 4g. I can ftp but I am not able to edit the system files. I have rooted my phone, so that i have access to super user. I installed Terminal emulator but then it has no vi, pico editor.

So i thought up to ssh my phone to edit system files. I tried to telnet, ssh to atrix, but it says connection refused.

So any way to do this job.
