in case you haven't noticed; this forum, along with many others, plus VZ's facebook and twitter page are full of very angry people right now. with all of the rumors flying around, i just wanted to throw up a quick poll to see who everyone else thinks is behind this debacle.

1. Verizon: plenty of reasons here (no response on release date, showing countless commercials, possible 4g issues, etc.)
2. Best Buy: their pre-orders started all of the February rumors, their flyer this week didn't help.
3. HTC: there could be problems with the device itself.
4. Steve Jobs: iphone sales have not been good, he could be pressuring VZ.
5. The Bloggers: for spreading rumors blaming everyone from 1 to 4.
6. Ourselves: for believing the hype/pre-ordering a phone without a firm release date/continuing this madness

in all honesty, i think it is a combination of all 6 but, at this point, place most of the blame on verizon. if they would just say SOMETHING, people would be alot happier. it is getting out of hand, and any response other than "shut up and wait" would go a long way.

Ultimately Verizon is responsible. I know they never gave any definite release dates but this is getting ridiculous!!!! A phone that they have been working on since July 2010 and is lagging WAY behind the EVO release…..come on now! Plus I’m sure they are aware of the advertisement in the Best Buy circular. I’m sorry but I feel that Verizon should give a statement of what the intentions are so everybody can put this to rest. I’m may have to reevaluate my loyalty to Verizon for over eight years because of the way they handle new releases and their inability to present the most current technology like the other carriers.

Verizon never set a date for this thing to come out, how can it be their fault? @Blackmanx on twitter has said numerous times that they were aiming for a March release time frame anyway. How can you blame them for wanting to make the phone work as well as possible out the gate? Do you really want to spend 250 on a phone that is not finished? If Verizon could, they would release it asap because the more days it is available, the more $$$ they can make off the phone. It's like complaining at a restaurant about how long the food is taking because they are making it fresh so that you enjoy it better.

Exactly, with everything going on all thats asked are their intentions.

I don't think Verizon is to blame... BB are the ones that are providing false dates. Verizon hasn't said anything cept coming soon. I'll admit we are getting ourselves worked up as well (myself included) and are constantly putting our faith into a given date then being disappointed. I'm counting on mid March, and if earlier then awesome, and if later then it'll be closer to my upgrade date anyways :) Just as long as it comes out before mid April.

Has anyone maybe thought that VZW hasn't advertised a firm release date because, they don't have one?

If they're working out a couple bugs with; 4G, Netflix, Skype, whatever. They may not have complete control as to when the device is 'ready'.

Maybe they're smart enough not to say something and then have the possibility of having to retract that statement. How much more upset would you be then?

Having said that, I voted for Steve Jobs.. D*uchebag..
