tethering or use 3G?

Ditto. With a Thunderbolt always on my person (hopefully soon), why would I need a tablet with anything else?

I thought the same thing, but in this world why would I want to be forced to connect it to something else to use it?

I want to be able to sit down for lunch, pull out my tablet, jump on the internet if there isn't a wifi around and do everything I need to possibly do then leave when I am done.

Overall I think it will be a great device and I want the added functionality and ability to use internet no matter where I am regardless of what phone I have.

With all the outlets selling Xooms this thing is going to do really well.

I agree. Carrier version will sell poorly, but wifi-only will sell huge. By the time the wifi-only versions release, the Xoom SHOULD have the microsd fixed and Flash (at least a beta version).

Sweet spot for mega sales will be $550 or less. Get the total out of pocket cost (tax) under $600 will be huge. Question is will it still have 32gb, or be dropped to 16gb?
