Root Help switching from Liberty 1.5 to Apex

What do I need to do to run Apex? I am not sure the procedure since I am already rooted.

Can someone give me a detailed list of what to do in order?

I appreciate it very much!

From OP:

Installation Instructions: Please have a nandroid of your current setup in case this is not for you

Users coming from 1.3.1 may be safe to keep data and cache. If there are problems, then factory reset. - Uninstall updates to Market, Gmail, ADW Launcher, & Search if they're there under Settings->Applications->Manage Applications first.

-Place file on your sdcard. Bootstrap recovery and reboot recovery
-Select Factory Reset (delete data/cache)
-Return to previous menu and install .zip from sd card
-Choose ApeX and install!

Make sure before you get off Liberty you change your boot logo in the toolbox back to the stock or any other one you want. A lot of confusion happens when people flash to another Rom but the Liberty boot logo is still there. Doesn't hurt anything tho, just throws people sometimes.

I am on ApeX now from Liberty. If I wanted to get the stock screen back, I know I could just restore from a Liberty nandroid but if I were to backup now using nandroid and Titanium, would all my apps and settings be restored back to how it is right now in ApeX... I just dont wanna have to do everything again!

I bought the DX/D2 logo changer before I moved to Liberty and it was I think a buck or two, no more than two. JRummy made it and I'm glad I bought it, when I first flashed back to Apex I was like dammmit! but then remembered I had that purchased, downloaded and changed it back to the Blue Moto that I liked and didn't have to flash back. Your choice tho but that is so easy to do and doesn't cost anything at all. He also keeps updating it and there are like 50 boot logos to choose from.

But to answer your question, if you nandroid Apex before you do this, restore Liberty and change the boot logo, then restore that Apex nandroid, that should do the trick I would think.

K cool, I think I will just do a nandroid backup and restore... I have yet to restore through Titanium, but I have backed up all my apps, when I get back to ApeX and restore all my apps, will the save points and stuff be restored on all my games?

I switched form Liberty 1.5 to Apex 1.4.0 and it is easy to do from Bootstrap Recovery menu.

1. I did the data wipe and factory reset
2. I wiped the partition cache
3. Then installed the .zip from sdcard (Apex 1.4.0)
4. Rebooted and running Apex 1.4.0.

The only thing, when I boot up my X I still see Liberty (the gray letters) right before the boot animation starts, but just haven't had the time or want-to to fix that yet.

If you do a nandroid backup of Apex and come back to Apex from clockwork restore, you will be right back at the exact state you backed up from so no need for Titanium etc

Titanium would be more for if you backed up in TiBu and went from Rom to Rom and wanted to get that info back on that you had from the previous Rom.

Hope that made sense.
