Anyone have one of these that can confirm whether they would be multi-user friendly?

If I have one for my family, will it end up being primarily bound to one user, or is it easy to sign in/out of Google services (like gMail, gTalk, etc) as the device is used by different users?

Thanks,
Bill

Great question. I'm very curious about this as well.

Multiple google accounts shouldn't be a problem. I created a seperate account yesterday to test out how Google chat/video chat would function. One account I used on my desktop and the other on my Xoom and it worked perfectly. Well lets just say it worked, things could be better obviously.

the tablet can have multiple accounts in it however there will be only ONE primary account that controls the "google experience". its going to be tailored to one user. this is the same on mobile phones. this will not give you the multiple login experience you get form a family PC. all your apps, twitter, crackbook, contacts, etc will be tied in the tablet. you can not "sign out" so someone else can sign in. you would have to remove your primary account if you wanted kelly (your daughter :D) to sign in to get the "google experience" personally for her...

Hmmm...I woulda thought that that would be governed by what gmail address was being logged onto at any one particular time. I guess it doesn't have that capability huh?

Done, for me I would like to be able to go back and forth from my personal to my work google apps account. Google Chat does work great for this, but web browser going back and forth to GDOCS is tough to do.
Today Enterproid announced the launch of a beta for their application Divide, which should do at least a part of what you are looking for (ie separating work and personal data, with password protection if wanted). Not sure to what extent it works but you can give it a try anyway.

Good morning,

I'm neither new to Android devices, nor computers themselves. I am however, new to tablets, and especially where the tablet is to be used by more than one person. I'm running into trouble trying to set up multiple, individual, mail accounts for my wife and myself. We each have a Gmail account, and another via Comcast Mail. Someone directed me to a product called K-9, which they promised would solve all my problems. I set up two Gmail accounts, and quickly discovered that our individual contact lists were merged into one. My wife is not a happy camper!

I could use some advice and/or direction. The goal here is for us each to have to separately accessible mail accounts, per person, on our Tablet. If and when that problem is solved, I expect I'm going to have to address the multiple Facebook accounts on the same device.

Any help anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time

I'm having a bit of buyer's regret right now...
Bought a tablet (Archos 101) for the family for christmas.
1st issue was to find that Android Market isn't available (although a couple of forums suggest that it is if you know where to look).
2nd issue is the topic of this thread: Multiple Users.
Before I bought the tablet, I envisioned my family sharing this device, passing it from one to another so they can do their social thing, or access their own book/video collections (stay sync'd with kindel, etc.), and such. But it seems that tablets are designed (as I first thought of the when they started to reappear lately) as just large phones -- a private, personal device.
Had I known, I'd have reconsidered this purchase. Not sure I was ready to get everyone their own tablet, but I'd have given more thought to what this would be used for.
I'm hoping, by joining this thread, that I'll hear of a solution someday. I'll check out that link (above) for Enterpoid ( enterproid )as a possible workaround.
