Root Honeycomb final SDK is out!

Edit: Ok before anyone jumps for super Joy. So apparently it's only the SDK. I read the thread title saying Honeycomb platform which I assumed was the AOSP. Doh!

This should be awesome and will make it easier for the devs to rip the software out to hopefully port it to our Gtablets.

i finally have something other than the elusive thunderbolt to look forward to this week, lol. keeping up with all of those release date rumors has gotten a little old.

Apparently, the boot.img isn't on the system dump so porting or custom roms aren't possible yet. Plus some Nvidia files are still missing. Just learned that at the XDA forums.

Oh well its a start.

LOL I know.. being new to rooting and roms can be a bit tough sometimes.

However I did see over at XDA that they could not yet get the boot.img becuase the person who posted the dump was not yet rooted. Apparently they provided that person with instructions to root. So we will see what happens over the next day or so...

All I know is that I have been watching videos of the Xoom all day.. and not only do I want Honeycomb desperately, I want all those awesome Tablet sized apps!!!!

Speaking of, tablet sized apps. Did you check out Gun Bros? You might not like the game but they updated it to run on the Xoom which subsequently fixed it for the gtablet. As devs fix or update their apps to be compatible with the Xoom, this could mean more apps for us too!

I was all set to install the new update.zip for vegan and i realized how close we may be getting to honeycomb. Before i bother wipeing my data i might just wait it out.

So, they got the system dump, unlocked the bootloader, CM got clockwork to boot and I think that's it....I'm going to venture and say.....I don't know. Lol. I don't like guessing because it makes the wait even longer. Haha.

Btw, don't post a question like that at the other forum unless you want to get flamed. Haha. I love this place.
