gingerbread on desire HD

i have gingerbread on my desire HD, but to be fair , it was my fault giving those biscuits to my grandson,
no really, the nexus 1 now has the 2.3.3 ota update, so it should'nt be long before the desire and HD get it,
come on HTC, listen to your customers.
ok i know it takes a while to re-do the sense overlay, but dont keep us waiting too long.
and while youre at it, get the bloody HTCSENSE>COM site working, then i can locate my wifes desire z that some little feckker stole.

Don't bank on it. I'd wager the DHD will get it sometime after the release of the Desire S (April 18th) so I'd guess June at the earliest.

I doubt the original Desire will get it at all. By then it'll be obsolete anyway. ;)

But for the time being why don't you head to the market and download the Gingerbread launcher, live wallpaper and keyboard (all by Steven Lin) and your phone will look almost exactly like it is running Gingerbread! It looks pretty amazing, you don't need to root your phone and (unlike the vanilla 2.3 you could flash) you still have all the Sense goodness!

As much as we would all like to see 2.3 on are dhd and desire its not going to happen anytime soon htc have all ready stated that they dont want to release 2.3 an till the desire S has been released as it could harm sales of it. Thats not going on sale till around april time so we are going to wait till atleast end of may june time.

If that's true, it's a bit of a mickey take. HTC are basically only supporting and updating their

the original desire is still a top notch phone, so why say it will be obsolete, if the nexus 1 has got it, then why not the hardware superior desire,
also my mate had a VW beetle made to look like a porsche 911, didnt go like one, so why would i want my phone to "look " like its running gingerbread, i would rather have htc sense that "is" running gingerbread.
