Okay, well, just so JB and andy don't feel alone, I'll say this is definitely a good ROM choice. I haven't used it in around 4 months, so I'm sure it's had some major updates. It was a great ROM then, though, and it sounds like it still is. Personally, I'm happy with a few other ROMs, but Calkulin is one of the best devs out there, and it shows in his ROM as well.

Looks good but it degrades the camera to 3MP instead of its regular 8MP. :(
those 3mp posts are from back in early august. from when the evo just got froyo. also the camera issue was only with kernels from the dev community. not sure about the current dev kernels but if you don't flash one your camera will work just fine and be at 8mp.

Hey guys just installed the rom on my phone. Do I need to install any undervolt zips to save battery or will I the regular rom itself have a pretty good batter life?
OH and also should I mess with setcpu or leave that alone?

I haven't flashed the evio rom since 1.6 and it had the best battery life of any rom series I have tried. from what I understand you shouldn't even need setcpu installed with this rom. read the section on battery scripts, its all built in. actually just reading the thread now, you should either uninstall setcpu or set it up yourself. if the system detects setcpu calkulin's scripts will be ignored.

the undervolt zips with play nice with some hardware and some not, so you'll have to flash and play around with them yourself. or just try it stock and see how your battery life is.

anyone use zone23's themed version of this rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=767813

I am getting great battery life without any custom kernels or use of setpcu. :D

I just flashed this ROM yesterday. This is my second ROM and I have to say I really like it! Coming from Mik's 4.5 where I was having some glitches here and there, this is REALLY stable. I couldn't run aggressive HAVS kernels with Mik's, thought my phone was sensitive to undervolting, well I can with this ROM. We'll see how it does with battery life in the next few days, but so far it seems about the same if not slightly better.
