Do you think I could do any better?

I'm going over my cell phone bill and wondering if I'm getting the best deal I could be. My current plan/add ons:

1800 minutes-My Faves $89.99 Family plan
Two add-a-lines $9.99 each
Unlimited Texting for Families $19.99 (covers all four lines)
Line 1 Unlimited 4G data $30.00
Line 2 Unlimited Smartphone data $25.00
Line 3 200MB 4G data $15.00
Line 4 no data
Insurance on two lines $6.99 each
Caller tunes $1.49 (my indulgance, lol)

Total comes to roughly $225.00/ month. I'm wondering if I could save a couple bucks without losing the features I currently have or if this is a decent deal. Any advice/opinions? Thanks.

Not trying to be a nitpick but really do you need caller tunes, it's a small price but i used to have them but then i thought

Why exactly do i have it...i dont ever hear the music. LOL i dont need to entertain my callers as they wait till i answer or reject them

The data aspects...Do you really need Unlimited data? I ask because if you are able to use wi-fi, i'd lower my data plan

But i can't realy see much you can downgrade from unless you downgrade your minutes and monitor your usage

I wish they had Rollover like AT&T. I have 1 line on T-Mobile and 5 lines on AT&T (I needed to switch to T-Mobile when I was working as a Systems Engineer at the HQ). My T-Mo is Unlimited everything. AT&T is a 1400/mo family plan and currently we have over 9,000 rollover minutes.

Now, with 2 iPhones and 3 smart phones (with unlimited data (we've had the account for years before they stopped unlimited)), we pay a premium, but everyone is happy.

I am looking to switch back to AT&T with the family to stop having to pay this extra line since I am no longer with T-Mobile, but need to wait for the ETF to drop.

Ugh, I was able to drop caller tunes but TMO wouldn't budge on the data due to it being "required". They even went as far as to bumping up mu husband's line to the new $30 4g plan without my knowledge because he put a HD7 on his line. (Already has a $15 required data feature on the line we used for the upgrade? So I'm being double dipped. ) If they keep this up, I'm jumping ship in two years. The constant changing of feature costs on a whim is disgusting! Instead of cutting costs they nailed me another $10 a month.

Oh dear, i'm sorry to hear that.

I haven't tried it yet with Tmo but i was able to get At&t to remove my data package(I am not sure if my trick will work with tmo)

But i am trying to figure out how in the world they can actually charge you full price for a data package if you paid for the cheaper one already?

Crazy lol. I am considering jumping ship because I
A)want the Xperia play or Trophy coming to Verizon
B)For flexpay customers, tmobile is a very rude company

Oh and also, i did try to remove a data feature after all. I had broken my hd7 and would have been using a flip phone for like a month so there was no need for data as I'd never use data on a horrid device like that

lmao i was told it was still required because I signed up service with a contract with data....I read the contract and couldn't find where it said that lol.
So even with a dumb phone, i have to pay smart phone data prices lol

Every carrier is trying to do this, they all suck.

You only have leverage if you aren't on a contract, which means of course that you have to buy the phone outright. I moved from AT&T (who also sucks) to T-Mobile a few months ago and used the Even More Plus plan where you're basically month to month with no contract. At least with a GSM provider you can switch phones whenever you want without having to get them to activate it. I have multiple phones that I switch back and forth depending on my needs (I don't want to take the Nexus One to the beach for instance).

I feel your pain though, it seems like cell phone plans should be getting cheaper every year, but the keep finding ways to get a few more bucks with each "improvement". It's their quest to not just become a "dumb pipe" but be a "Service Provider".

They used to be pretty decent but they are now trying to squeeze every last penny out of us. What set them apart is slowly vanishing. Oh well, two more years. Sigh.....

While looking at the T-mobile family plans seems they have a 3000 minute plan for less, $149.99(at the time I write this, may change soon.) Not sure why it would be cheaper, perhaps a promotion since it indicates its for a limited time only or maybe i missed something.
Plan price includes $20 Unlimited Web access.
Additional lines share existing Whenever Minutes and unlimited messages for $5 per month, per line; unlimited Web is available for $20 per month, per line

3000 minute plan
$149.99
Line 1 & 2 - 3000 shared minutes/unlmited text/unlimited web included in price
Line 3 - 5 dollars Shared minutes/unlimited text, 20 dollars unlimited data
Line 4 - 5 dollars

Total $ 179.99 (not including tax or insurance)

http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/cell-phone-plans-detail.aspx?tp=tb1&rateplan=Even-More-for-Families-3000-Talk-Text-Unlimited-Data

or the comparable plan

Newer plan
for $159.99 you can get 1500 minutes family plan with unlimited data(restrictions apply), unlimited text.
To add each additional line would be 10 dollars to share the family minutes, unlimited Data is available for $30 per month, per line or 200 MB Data for $10 per month

So....
$159.99
-1500 minute plan-
Line 1 and 2 - shared minutes/unlimited data/unlimited text -included in price
Line 3 - 10 dollars shared minutes/unlimited text add 10 dollars 200MB data
Line 4 - 10 dollars

Total $189.99 (taxes not included or insurance)

http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/cell-phone-plans-detail.aspx?tp=tb1&rateplan=Even-More-for-Families-1500-Talk-Text-Data

FYI
I usually do not get insurance because they still require a deductible and in many cases not worth the extra money. So I would gauge if its something worth keeping or not depending on a number of variables.
