Help Questions about saving Apps to SD card

I recently bought my Optimus V, and since I'm totally new to smart phones & Android, I have a few questions about saving/moving apps to the SD card . So, thanks in advance for any help.

How do I know which apps can be downloaded from the marketplace that can be installed on the SD card?

When I download an app that can run from the SD card, will it automatically install to the SD card, or do I still need to do something else to get it to install there?

For apps already factory installed, how do i tell if I can move them to the SD card or not?

Finally, how do you actually move an already installed app to the SD card?

Also, really liking the phone so far, and the Body Glove case I bought fits it perfectly without being too bulky.

Unfortunately, there is no way to know in advance through the Market if an app will install to the card. You have to get it to find out.

Apps install to phone memory, not the card. You have to move them yourself.

If you look under Applications in Settings, an app that can be moved will have the Move To SDCard button active. Click it to move the app to the card.

Any installed app that can be moved will show up in the Applications list with the Move To SDCard option enabled.

The easiest way to move apps to the card is with an app like App 2 SD Free or SDMove, which can move apps to the card moved more quickly.
