Help Quick Office / PDF Downlaod

I wanted to cross check this since it's an important function for me. Created a .docx (in QO), changed up a few fonts, etc., saved it out. GMail'ed it to my business account, opened attachment in Word 2010, looks great.

Email my GMail account a PDF from my desktop (using Outlook '10), received it, previewed fine, saved it (defaulted to /Messaging) and was able to open it in Quick Office using the PDF app.

What do you mean by "can't create"? Is QO running? Can't save?

Was the PDF you sent a form? Is it something with a digital sig?

Can't create = I started a grocery list and when I tried to save it I was not able to save the document onto my phone.

PDF = I'm not entirely sure...I received an Excel file that I saved as a PDF on my computer, I then emailed it to myself (gmail). I was able to OPEN it but unable to save it to my phone. Either write protected or full.

Seeing as how my phone won't DL MP3 files because it's "full" (10GB available) & it won't install some games I think my phone is f'ed!

That's odd, and it sounds like the same problem, i.e., unable to write to local storage.

Are you trying to save to an "external" SDCard (like a MicroSD card you installed yourself) or the phones built-in, internal storage?

I tried saving to my SD (2GB) after that didn't work I unmounted the SD and tried the phone storage. Still doesn't work.

QuickOffice that came with my Nexus One was a basic version that was read only and did not allow write capability. For write capability you'd need to buy the full feature version QO. I'm assuming this is the same with the Atrix.

The one pre-installed on the Atrix appears to be the full version! I used the version on the phone OOTB to generate my docx file I mentioned above (and save it right on the phone).

Plus, if you click through to the AT&T part of the regular Android portal, there's a full version for free for any AT&T subscribers :)

Great news!! :) Did the AT&T rep say why the Quick Office didn't work for your original Atrix?

Naw man. I called AT&T Customer Care with all of my various problems and the rep literally told me "I have yet to hear about this problem..." Then when I called the Motorola Android Support the rep told me to return the phone ASAP.

Looks like I'll never know!
