There has been much discussion about whether or not the LG Optimus 2X is equipped with stereo speakers or only one mono speaker.

If you head over to the XDA developer Forums, you can download a service manual for the Korean Counterpart of the O2X. It incorporates the same Wolfson Audio Codec as the Optimus 2X and the schematics in the service manual clearly show, that the stereo outputs of the chip are both connected to the same physical speaker.

If needed, I can point out the corresponding sheet parts to you.

Many unboxing vids, including the one here, show the mini HDMI to HDMI cable included in the pack. One person who posted at XDA (new post with no replies so far) said they didn't get the cable, I haven't seen any other suggestion so far this cable isn't being included.

You need to take into consideration that all hands on-videos so far featured pre-retail packages which didn't include any software for example.

They therefore do not guarantee that the cable will be present in the full retail packaging.

So will it be "4G" 14.4Mbps HSPDA or not??? I can't seem to figure this out via Google search. Everyone says something different and none of the videos do a speetest.

10.2Mbps just doesn't make sense. Are there any T-mobile phones that have 10.2Mbps "4G"? If so why would they put and old-a$s modem in this phone?

It would make my day if they announce it as HSPDA+ 21Mbps! Make my year even.

The last time I read about 4G on the Optimus 2X was here: http://androidforums.com/lg-optimus-2x/283129-forget-everything-else.html but it's only speculation.:)

DDR2 is not dual-channel -- Double Data Rate version two vs. 2 channels simultaneously. Separate specs, you want both if possible. Preferably DDR3 dual-channel.
Everything You Need to Know About Dual Channel | Hardware Secrets

I thought I read somewhere that it won't have dual-channel.

Still out paces the competition in the benchmarks (for whatever that's worth.)

Yes sorry, my mistake. It doesn't. As you said, I had confused two different things. :( According to anadtech "LG is aggressively marketing fact that the Optimus 3D is both dual-core and dual-channel. By dual-channel, LG is referencing OMAP4's dual-channel LPDDR2 memory interface." So if your after dual-channel you'd best wait for the 3D.

Apologies for double-post, but thought it would be better for those anxiously awaiting news on the 2x if I bumped the thread. Paul Obrian has Rooted his 2x already, done a system dump, and started in with the tweaks. He tweets that he'll be posting up his thoughts soon. The XDA-developers forum is also starting to become active too, some interesting stuff there about hidden-menu's and so forth...

all friends busy to represent LG Optimus 2X as a best smart phone in the modern era... i am agree with those friends who have made the handset very helpful in terms of many ways.... but you must know that the handset carries some disappointing points... like No dedicated camera key and the others.. but here it is very important that the handset has been featured with Android v2.2..

hi all

next person who has this phone, can you tell me what the phone memory (internal phone storage) is please before you install loads of applications and things.

my current phone after only a small bunch of apps is down to 12mb (htc hero)

First to answer your question. The LG Optimus 2X comes with 8 GB of internal storage (5.5 GB space usable). It is much more than the HTC Hero so no worries :p. And if that's not enough, there's always the Micro SD up to 32 GB, so no chance it will run out of memory (except if you load the whole market place on it).

Q: noob question. I just bought my OX2. How to upgrade the OS to 2.3?
Answer: The Optimus 2X can't be upgraded to 2.3 yet. LG promises an update in June 14th or later. There is another way, root it, but I don't really know how to root, so search on the forums how to root the LG O2X.
Hope this helps! ;)
