Hi all, I've been browsing the forum and the net. I'm in the market for an android tablet.

Budget isn't an issue. I will be using it for traveling, books, movies, photos, music etc.

I've been looking at the xoom. I know its pointless trying to keep up with technology so my question is, what is coming out soonish that would be worthwhile waiting for?

I wanted a HTC honeycomb with duo tegra but from what I read and understand the new flyer is running gingerbread?

Have HTC got another tablet (around 10" size) coming out soonish running honeycomb and tegra or any others in the near future ( 1-3 months) that you recommend?

Thanks

Android tablet release dates are sooo sketchy. It's kinda frustrating. The flyer isn't a tegra device. Toshiba and LG tablets should come out in the 2nd qtr but again it's sketchy. I think both are Tegra 2 devices. However, by the time they come out, I'm hoping the issues that the Xoom has today would be fixed.

Thanks for the reply, so its looking like a xoom is the choice.

What problems are you talking about? Haven't seen anything mentioned?

Stick it out a little longer - through April. Toshiba is coming out with a tablet that "looks" better than the Xoom on paper. I am really hoping we will know more on the Toshiba by the end of March. The WiFi Xoom does not come out until early April at the earliest anyway.

An HTC 10 inch tablet is very likely in the works. But the Flyer was announced in February for a June release. Rumor is a 10 inch will be announced in late June or July. That would point to a October/November release of the 10 - far too long to wait if you ask me.
