Root DaedalusMOD-0.1, based on Cyanogen Mod 6, is here

A port of the Android 2.2 Cyanogen MOD 6 is out like promised from developer isaac. Easier directions would be posted here as soon as they become available, but for the meantime, look here: Prepaid Androids - SCREW CONTRACTS!

At the moment, this is only a test of how it will work and is not intended for daily use. It is for people experienced with flashing Mods and ROMS. isaac will be working on getting all the bugs worked out. We just need to be patient.

You need to be rooted. Download ROM Manager from Market and flash clockwork MOD using ROM Manager, and just follow the link above. Good Luck!! Any prob thlems, post them at the myascend.org forums.

Oh and also, just today, isaac was able to get CM 7, which is based on Android 2.3 Gingebread. Yes, you heard right. A new thread will be created as soon as instructions are supplied from isaac. Please be patient as isaac has one too many projects in his hands, so lets give him some time.

Right now I'm playing with themes...Some super duper awesome person named NeuroticFish is putting the stock Icarus theme with one simple change, A gauge instead of regular battery Icon. I almost cried when she told me she'd do it for me. XD.

All I can say is Isaac is awesome. I feel like huawei abandoned the ascend and were lucky to have these mods;0) huawei slapped a bloated rom in a phone with little memory. I understand it has lower memory, because it's a cheaper phone. They should of spent more time developing a stripped down rom like icarus, instead of selling a laggy phone. Well thankfully we found a great way around the bloated rom ahahahahaha

Just make sure you go into airplane mode every once in a while to reset the data connections. I've found there are less force closures if I do that like once a week. ^^. Oh and link you to what? The Icarus stock theme with just the modified battery icon?

the fc's are only for my launchers though (i constantly switch between go launcher ex, home and lp) so i'm thinking maybe i'm o-loading the system with all three.

can't find home to freeze it with titbu though, that's the one i'd rather get rid of.

can't find Browser either, for that matter.

I'm just using launcher pro. I was using go launcher but since icarus came with LP I left it alone. I setup setcpu, cache cleaner, cachemate, addfree, lookout, droidwall and so far so good. Do you get FC's with launcher pro?

If you are talking about the stock home, it is called canvas. You should be able to find and freeze it with tb. I think Browser is by Google, probably shouldn't mess with that anyway.
