Help wifi tethering for EVO 4G

I have searched and haven't found an answer tot his question. Maybe I just dont read well (i did goto public school ) but could find anything. Is there an app or a way to enable the EVO 4G to become a hotsopt with out paying Spring for it and without rooting the phone? I am currently tethering via PDANet and love it, but would love it more if I could lose the cord and go wireless. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

No, the only ways to become a wireless hotspot is paying sprint, or rooting.

I suggest rooting

As far as I know only through rooting and downloading wi-fi tether will you be able access that feature....
