Root Do you overclock with Icarus 1.1??? If so, with what???

I tried with setPCU, but it keeps getting an error saying that it cannot detect some kind of settings and will only open in "read only". So, I can't change the settings.

You can't overclock Icarus. It doesn't have an overclocked kernel.

yes, 600 is stock (thanks issac for telling us this)

as it turns out the ascend was already set to run at 600. set cpu can assist in the speed transitions though and you can underclock to save battery.

i tested the true functionality of cpu "overclocking" (on icarus 1.1) like this....

install cpuboost,
set to 600max, don't mess with minimum settings.
set to ondemand,
place nitros widget on home screen and enable a live wallpaper.
simply click the nitros button to see the difference.

it will force your phone to run at max as long as nitros is enabled.

i use setcpu because it seems to be more responsive though.

saves the shit out of my battery too. underclocked to 480 max 122 min

Tokenpoke, do you see any lag or a big change in speed by underclocking? Do you use anything else to save the battery like UltimateJUICE?

very slight lag, still better than stock. only runs at min when screen is off and still plays music fine through poweramp and to bluetooth also.

no battery savers as i believe they are a joke, running in the background and killing stuff without my say so. never seemed to make a difference anyway.

i'm running crazy home by the way. it's a nasty resource hog but on icarus it barely lags even maxed out 320 which is well below the standard running speed.

it's called "crazy home"

it's a launcher that lets you have up to three themes running on three home screens with up to five side screens a piece.

i use it because apple brain washed my fiance and she is android-ycapped and cant find anything on my phone without the adw iphone theme.

i have a theme for work (trees and the company logo)
a theme for me (crazy home stock city wallpaper and lp clear icons)
and my fiance (three screen iphone theme)

my ram regularly drops to 20mb when i have been switching between the three for a minute because it hold info for faster transitions.

I've had nothing but, Trouble with battery saver apps. I've had data issues, I've had massive force closures too! I was unable to save contacts plus I when daylight savings time came, My Optimus did not update! Yet my Ascend did. Guess which had a battery saver downloaded on it?
