Help default video player

does anyone know how to change the default video player on the mytouch 4g (non-rooted). i want to see if another player can be used for DroidTV that will stop the "video cannot be played" messages. apparently the stock player can't always play the videos from droidtv.

How are you navigating to these videos? I think Astro File Manager allows you to pick a default application for file types.
