Dual LED Flash Color

lol the sun appears yellow because we are viewing it through the atmosphere...lol the sun emits every color of the prism...

SO it is not because the sun emits "yellow" rays

that being said the flash does not appear to work very well for me and is very inconsistent. wish there were more settings with the camera!!

Maybe I should try one at the ATT store. Mine is definitely a green-ish yellow of some sort and not the crystal white my previous phone was. And yes the sun is technically...5600K color temp which is close to pure white but based on the atmosphere and other stuff we perceive it as yellow. Of course color is technically non existent, without light you have no color. but thats a new can of worms we wont open on a cell phone forum :p

I never said that the sun emits yellow rays. I said the sunlight is yellow. That's taking into account that the light is filtered through our atmosphere.

When viewed from a space based telescope, or a ground based telescope that has a neutral filter on it, the sun is actually white. (As you said, all color bands.) Yet, it is classified as a "Yellow Dwarf" sun, I believe.

Regardless, if you want the flash to mimic NATURAL Sunlight, it has to have a yellow tint to it. That's what I was saying. Unless you are on the moon taking pictures. Then, a perfect white flash is best.
