CyanogenMod: CM7 support for the ThunderBolt
Would you would like CM7 on your Thunderbolt? Slayher is going to get it done with the communities help. He currently supports CyanogenMod on the Droid Incredible as part of the Team, Main Page - CyanogenMod Wiki

If you can skip Dunkin Donuts, the bagel, etc for a day or two and donate this will not take very long. Lets keep this thread clean and to the point of getting a TBolt into Tony's hands...hopefully on release day.

Here's a status update on CM7 from ciwrl, for those who don't frequent XDA:

Hiya folks!

So a lot of you have been asking for a status update, and on behalf of the entire CM team, here's whats up as of tonight (for those of you who may not know, for credibility's sake, I'm head mod at the CM forums, and a member of teamdouche).

1) Donations in this thread go directly to Slayher
2) RC2 was precompiled the day before s-off was attained (just to give you some insight into how much work Slayher has put in)
3) Initial delays were with Clockwork Recovery having issues with data wipe/format, this has since been fixed, and the recovery is live
4) The RC2 I mentioned HAS been booted onto hardware, and I can say that CM + 700+ RAM = joy

That's a summary of the past few days.

As the ROM has been booted, Slayher and Cyanogen are working on smoothing out the 'rough spots'. As mentioned above, gralloc was not happy (gralloc controls the graphics, in layman's terms). Cyanogen, having done a lot of Android work, is quite comfortable in fixing that, so it'll get fixed rather quickly.

After that, focus will shift to libaudio (sound) and the ril/data. LTE support is planned (and no, not with the delay that EVO users had to deal with). Thankfully, Code Aurora has open sourced a healthy bit of LTE code, so its just a matter of making it all work as a cohesive package.

For those of you eager to test (or just run as far away from sense as possible), the ROM will likely NOT be public till we kick off the nightlies. That said, for those crackflashers, well, you know how to get your early fixes I will say though, follow @cmsrc and watch out for 'mecha' sound and radio/data fixes pre-flashing...if you value your phone as an actual phone

Thats about it for now, I'll try and post more later. As always, source is on github and our gerrit instance is up to show pending commits.

Edit: I seemed to have overlooked a few questions. RM support will come once the ROM is nightly-ready or RC3, whichever comes first. For those having issues with the root instructions on CM wiki, they are essentially the same as those jcase made available, and we are looking in to the md5 variance reported.
