Help Facebook pics on contacts are awful

how do you sync contacts it asked me and i said yes but only a few contacts synced up how do i do the other ones.

It took mine a while too. I tried and tried to force it but it finally decided to display them when it was ready. I opened facebook and answered the contacts sync question, it still didn't happen right way. I eventually got a notification from the android system that asked me to sync contacts with their respective facebook accounts. I did that, still nothing.

I decided to call one of the contacts and it switched over. Probably would have eventually but I'm the impatient type.

Here is how I fixed the problem. Settings < accounts & sync < deleted facebook account (downloaded from market). Select add account select Facebook for HTC Sense and set it up. Bam all pictures good to go. Let me know if it works

Side note I use the downloaded facebook from the market for viewing but the Accounts & sync for my contacts if that makes sense.

Perfect! That's the solution!

I sync my contacts through Facebook for Sense. I don't sync anything through the app itself. It seems to work a little better.

And yes, wait for it. I had the same problem on my Incredible with the pictures not showing up, spent hours trying to fix it. When I finally gave up and let it be, they eventually showed back up.

On my DINC I had to link some of my contacts if they weren't the exact same names. Sorry the fix didn't clear them up. It made a huge difference on mine, they are as clear as they were on my DINC.

next question....how do I get all of those Facebook birthdays OFF my calendar (can't see my work stuff)!
I figured out how to wipe them temporarily, but I'm not sure how long it will last. Somehow I now have like 2 of 8734 facebook birthdays on my calendar.

Go to apps -> menu -> remove apps -> calendar storage -> clear data. I force stopped as well, but that didn't seem to help.

I've tried your solution but I keep getting "the service is unavailable" warning. I've had the phone for two days now but no dice. The Facebook app from the market give me the blurry pics. Any ideas???

I kept getting that error as well. I just kept hitting try again I think I had to do it 3 times...finally it took. I was on wifi not sure if that had anything at all to do with things though. Good luck. Pictures are no longer blurry so this "is" the fix, if you can get it to take.

Ok, I removed the FB sync...so its only syncing the FB by HTC...it removed the 3 pixelated photos from my speed dials...will it just take time then for the pictures to re show up?

For the FB events, hit Menu, then Calendars, as mentioned above, except for it is not in settings. (just reworded a little, took me a sec to find how to do it I kept opening the settings menu)
