Root Delete stock apps

Yes, I think if you are rooted you can delete stock apps. Any one else.

You can delete them ..IF you can figure out how to set yourself as Owner of the files ,,,

I have not been able to do that ... even to write new sound files to the internal phone memory ... Even with SU privledges but I am not that knowlegeable of linux

I got this from another forum I am a member of but I don't have adb on my computer.

Uh, each argument should be separated by a single space; adding another space isn't going to help or hurt matters.

Additionally, .apks are not directories so the -r (recursive) flag is unnecessary.

Hi,

i'm trying ro remove stock apps for quite a few days, and i'm getting desperate!

I have everything... titatium, terminal, root explorer, etc etc

with terminal I also receive "directory not empty", but with root explorer I can delete the apk's from /system/app ... I confirm after that they are not there, bus as soon as I reboot the phone they come back.

what can I do ?

I have HTC desire with stock android, rooted .. and also a couple of programs I instaled I don't really knwo what they do.. like rom manager, clockword recovery, etc

plz help!

I had the exact same problem as you until I installed the S-OFF (security off, i.e "full root")

Hey guys! I have a Sony Ericsson xperia x10 mini,rooted ,but I have the stable rom.
But i deleted some System apps , I dont remember wich apps ,but now i cant download thing from the market ,and i was able to do that before.
and i have tryed everything,Hard reset ,and everything like that.
but it wont work ,so is there any chance that i can like restore all my system apps ? :p
