Help Light Leakage on Bottom of TB?

Ok this was pretty wide spread on the EVO, on the bottom of the TB right above the black border, the 2 lights that Badly, dimly, and unevenly light up the home, menu, back , and search keys leak up on to the screen. Doesnt HTC know how to seal a screen yet?

I'm seeing this on my phone for the first time because I'm in a dimly lit room, anyone else seeing this?

I have to tilt the phone a lot to see the leds. It does not reflect on my screen at the brightness I have the phone at.

He isnt talking about the LED's that you can see by tilting the phone and looking down at a 170 degree angle at the screen. These are actual gaps b/w that plastic spacer and the screen buttons that let light out. There is a 6 page post on one of the other forums discussing it. Mine has a bit of leakage and I have a new one coming on monday (hopefully problem free)

I didn't return it for the light leak. Mine wouldnt ever hit a full charge. Id plug it in and leave it for 8 hours and it wouldnt ever flip from amber light to green light and the back would heat up. Cant really go to sleep while charging if it melts my desk lol. Hoping I dont have one that has more light leak than my current one. The unibody seems a little lose all the way around mine so I wasnt sure if that what was causing it. On the right side of the screen i can see a 1mm gap and the clips holding the unibody, i push on the side and it goes flush. As soon as i let go it bows out again... fingers crossed the new one is perfect.

3rd one was good though? and they have all had light leakage? Like I said mine is just 1 very small leak right under the arrow, the rest seems fine. The gap on the right of the screen bothers me more because im scared a clip is broken and it will only get worse.

Yep.. The rep would have the phone laying down on the table at eye level and you could defiantly see the lights. I cant see it unless looking at it at 180 degrees.. But yep thats not good to have a gap.. Just more problems down the road.

Oh that light leak yeah, thats from every LCD screen. I have one like this picture...

A leak under the soft keys b/w them and the spacer in there. Is that not what you had?

Ok yeah, mine is quite that bad, almost the same spot but only about 3/4 as bright as that. I am just super anal about stuff... kinda glad the charging issue came up cause I would have felt stupid asking for it to be replaced because of that.

I just checked my TB in complete darkness and it bleeds just a little on the bottom right hand corner but my case covers that up.. Other than that perfect..

This is an HTC thing! I've owned alot of high end phones, and have only seen this on HTC PHONES.
Honestly, these HTC guys just cant build a quality built device for the life of them.

Worst part is HTC is known to have some of the best build quality, they had this same problem with the EVO though, you figured they would have fixed it. I am just hoping the one shipping now is good all around.

i have serious light leakage i noticed it the day i got it but now its like hey look at us were leds, so what you guys have any problems making the return? any advice on changing one out?

Say your upset that you paid for a high end device and its not to your specifications.. Who cares what the reps think? You paid for it.. Why be unhappy?
