Help Flv player and Screen Capture program

Seeking help on finding 2 reliabe Apps

One for playing flv,mov mp4 files

The other for capturing my screen

Not rooted

my ears are burning
unfortunately i don't know my phone is rooted and running a custom rom so i use shootme for screen shots, and i don't watch vids on the phone.
so i guess i'm bloody useless on this one
when are we going to get you modding your phone, or are you running 2.2 already

Found a good notepad program colornot
Love the phone but still hate typing on it
Makes it look like I can't spell!

There should maybe be a thread of simple apps to download for newbies as looking on the market doesn't help

Not yet as trying to get a grip on the default one
But when your hands are cold you type mumbo jumbo lol

My main keyboard problem also is it keeps popping up and blocking the screen when I am trying to sign in somewhere,or read the page

It's there more times than anything else

Also the box that comes up to share That also seems to appear whenever I don't want it and not when I do lol

Love the phone but it is SO different from my old nokia

with swype instead of pressing each letter individually, you draw a line from letter to letter for the word you want, very accurate and fast

Thanks Will give it a try. But the keyboard will still insist on popping up too many times again won't it? lol


Quick question also while you are here - know it should be a separate thread-

I tend to send a text message more than making a call

Seems a slow proces to bring up the option of texting instead of calling Is there an option anywhere to display 5 or 6 of my contacts where I can click on one to send a message and not call?
I have found myself accidently messaging their landline also whoops

no it shouldn't but there are settings to turn the popups off.
as for texting
long press on empty space on home screen,shortcut, direct message,choose contact, new message.
the contact pic will show on screen with a small message icon, press on it and you are into sending a message to that contact

U r a star thanks.
Will use email screen and fill it with contacts to text. As only use gmail Widget.
But how can I put the mail screen back if i change my mind?

Also - Question - turn pop ups off?

popups for which keyboard?
if you look in menu, settings, language & keyboards, select which keyboard
you should have an option for popup or prediction
as for restoring anything to a home screen, you can save current setup
menu, scenes, save........and then restore the same way......or if too late
it will be under widgets when you add to a home screen.
the other option you have is to add people widget to home screen, add favourites(or whichever group you fancy)......then add person,(plus sign) which you can add message or call, or simply view contact and from there select text or call
you can also edit groups in people by pressing second icon from left on bottom strip which is
all/groups/online directories/call history
hope this makes sense

Regarding the people widget. Have people i only phone there. Want the ones I message separate . As when i press a contact I phone them by mistake lol
What am I doing wrong?


Also thanks for good idea saving scene to restore email window.
