So tomorrow is the big day?

from what i've read and info that i've gotten from other epic forums is that yes you will still get the update even if you are rooted, however, you cannot have removed any sprint bloatware or have any custom roms. and when i spoke to sprint i told them that i had the froyo build that they released and then pulled and they told me i would still get the update notification. i didn't tell them that i'm rooted of course. someone please correct me if i'm wrong or what i've read i've read wrong.

You will still receive the update but the update process will fail because you have a custom recovery (likely). The update goes through a portion of system checks to make sure everything is in place prior to the update, when a file is missing/changed, the update process fails.

Where we will see Froyo 2.2 finally? Has anyone gotten the update early? I am rooted will I still get the notification. I'm using the stock ROM 2.1

I seriously doubt it. As of now, Goggle is having problems with their calendar notifications, as in, not working at all. I'd be surprised if they can fix that, and update our phones, all in the same day.

That's my biggets question right now...

I have the Froyo build they pushed then suspended (unrooted), so the update notification will show up?

But the better question is... would I be better off to flash back to stock 2.1 and get rid of any offending code (and possibly free up storage space) then wait for 2.2.1 to hit?

according to sprint you should still be able to get the update even if you have the update they released and then pulled as that was an official os update.
