Replacement Housing for Ascend

Hello everyone! I dropped my ascend and the Screen cracked on the lower right hand side, the LCD is fine, its the screen that broke, is there anyways i can purchase a complete housing for this cell? or am i basically screwed ? ive searched all over the net with no luck on screens for it, just the LCD or Screen Protector i was able to find..

I believe you'd have to replace the whole screen. Which means you'd have to replace the whole LCD screen. Depending on where you go, It could be upwards of 35+ dollars. I don't know how much you spent for your phone, But depending you might just need to hop on Craigslist to just get another one. X.x Ask Metro, If you've got insurance you should be able to spend around 50 bucks and get a new phone (I think they give new ones, I hope they don't give refurbished ones.) Good luck!

The screen you are refering to is the capacitive touch screen which is seperate from the lcd screen itself. You don't need to replace both if your image looks fine. I actually had a broken ascend with a good capacitive screen and broken lcd screen for sale on ebay. No takers so, I still have it. Let me know if you want to make a deal or if you just need some help. I have repaired 2 ascends so far. They are extremely simple to work on.

... well, can I? According to Google, this is the only relevant result for my searches, and it leads to a Private Messaging-induced dead end. While it's all well and good that ONE person got their screen replaced, anyone else reading through this thread is SOL!

Perhaps I could get some info on the same type of replacement? We don't need the LCD or the touch - although I understand the capacitive touch is part of the cracked front glass, so I guess that'll be the "part". But where to get one? Google has been entirely useless to me except for finding this thread...

Any info would be much appreciated

The only way I found one was to buy a bricked ascend on ebay.

Pretty sure you can get that stuff on ebay.. I have an amzer silicone case for mine and it protects like a beast

You can get a replacement screen online for like 30 bucks. $50 for the LCD.

I need to know how much a screen for this model is going to cost and how to put the screen on. If I can I would like to try and do this myself.
