So I couldn't be more excited about the Nexus S on Sprint!

Sprint.com ? Nexus S? 4G from Google

These are the features/differences that I'm looking forward to:

AMOLED display
4" screen
rounded form factor
No SD card
2.3
No sense UI
Faster processor

I've been excited about the Nexus S since it hit T-Mo, but too loyal to Sprint for their cheap and reliable (in KC) plan.

I LOVE the Evo 4g, but it's too big and square. I'm dying for a more interesting design.

Many of you may criticize the limited internal storage, and point out that I can get most of those features if I root. I don't want to root my phone, so again, excited!

Although if the Evo 3D is a huge improvement...

My .02.

And the Nexus S is that much better than the Atrix (supposedly coming to Sprint also) and EVO 3D, why exactly?

The SD card, IMO is slower than the internal flash memory will be on the Nexus. Not to mention not every app can be moved to the SD slot without root. I run into memory issues all the time because of that.

No idea what Sprint's version of the Atrix will be, and especially no clue about the Evo 3D.

Okay, but according to the specs, the 16gb memory is portioned out as 1gb internal storage and 15gb usb storage.

That tells me that you'd run into the same exact situation anyway.

If you want more info on the EVO 3D, BlueScreen has shared some inside info on the EVO 2 Thread:
http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-4g/131928-what-features-do-you-want-evo-2-a-15.html

If you're not familiar with BlueScreen, he shared some great inside information prior to the current EVO release because of the work that he does.

With that being your desired feature list, it seems like your two cents would be better spent on an iPhone. Haha.

**FOR ME**, the lack of Sense UI makes Android rather blah. I know there are plenty out there who like vanilla Android, but I think that if the first Android phone had come out with Sense UI, I think most people would agree. I've tried non-Sense ROMs and....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....what? Oh, sorry...I fell asleep from the boring UI, widgets (or lack thereof), etc. Haha. It even affected my first experience with Gingerbread (CM7 ROM) -- I felt like compared to Froyo (v2.2) + Sense UI, Gingerbread wasn't really anything all that different or special. I guess I have to wait to be impressed when a ROM with Gingerbread + the new Sense UI comes out.

The primary reason I did NOT go with an iPhone 4G over the Evo is because of the lack of a SD card slot. That's also the reason I didn't take the natural course from my Palm Treo 755p to one of the Palm WebOS phones. I mean, no expandable memory? How can that be viewed as anything other than a HUGE step backwards in technology?

With hindsight, I think I made a mistake getting a Sense UI phone, because that has greatly limited what I will tolerate "upgrading" to in the future.

I do agree about Sense making Android usable, but LOL at the lack of an SD card slot. It would be nice to have expandable memory, but are there even any real, working 32gb sd cards on the market yet? I'd rather have a phone with 32 gigs of storage than a phone with 8 gigs.

One has the option to upgrade to a faster sd card.
Lol class 10 16 gig here. Sd speed boost, writes at 20 mb plus and reads at 50 mb plus...pictures come up before I click them haha. Change your external memory card in your "_" phone. Wait you can't.

Compare the EVO to the iPhone in photo load times, the EVO loses, big time.

I have a fast 16gb card, and I've done the Speed boost .zip flash...but it is still slower that pulling up pictures on my iPod Touch.

Internal flash memory > SD Card

Oh god lets not start an iphone discussion on the android forums lol. The usual read ahead fix is 128 ever go into sys and edit the file to something like 2048? It is a vast difference. I'm just saying I'd rather have the option of expandable than not and we can r/w pretty damn fast with the right hardware and tweaks

I agree, however, there is no denying internal flash is significantly faster than an sd card.

32GB or 64GB of internal flash would be sufficient for me...my SD only has 16GB anyway...

That's a sweet setup. Especially the psychic pics.

However, you shouldn't have to spend $100 in addition to the phone to have it equal what are industry standards.

And I don't want an iPhone, although if Sprint had one I'd consider it for the display, although I think the Nexus S will be a closer than the Evo.

I don't mean to "crap" on the thread, but I think it appropriate to pass on the warning I regret not listening to when I bought my Samsung devices. Samsung lures you in with great hardware specs then bitterly disappoints with their support. I know that it's a "Google Phone" which should avoid the usual Samsung upgrade follies, but after my last 2 Samsung devices (Moment, Epic) and dealing with my friends Intercept, I'll be avoiding Samsung for quite a while when it comes to mobile devices. For those that do buy this phone, I hope everything is as advertised and you have a great experience.

Bingo!! I've had two Samsung phones and I'll tell you this, never again! I will never buy a phone from a company who does not support their products, such as Samsung. That Moment I had drove me nuts with it's bugs and not being supported by Samsung made me pretty upset. As a matter of fact because of the Moment, I will never buy another Samsung product period!

100 bucks? I spent 46 dollars. And pyschic pics are the only way to go. Its only a problem when im at work showing off my phone and random pics of my gf pop up :).You can try and boost your read speeds with the class 2 card and use an A2SD but it may not work as well...

I like having the option of having a 16 g card today and in a year going, you know what i really want 32 gig...i can do that with external memory. Whether you want more internal or not you ought to have external also. I can take the card onto the next phone and keep my pics on it, no transfer necessary. It has its advantages and should always be an option. The disadvantage is what? that is pulls up pictures slower? How much slower with my set up? milliseconds? Do i care about milliseconds, hell i dont even take pictures, im a dude.

Oh god dont mention the intercept lol, my gf has that phone. I HATE it. I rooted it and removed bloatware, flashed a ubuntu rom and a kernel and its...well...bearable now, still a pile of crap. If it ever dies we have to charge it for like 3 hours before itll come on again...SHe gets my evo when i grad the 3d
