after many hours we bring you the first fully working 2.2.1 rom which can be flashed onto any lg optimus m (providing you have the custom recovery)
and work right out the gate. This is a work in progress and development will continue from this point on. First off we'll probably end up theming the hell out
of it. I'm thinking sense like. If you have skills with music or pngs or anything pm me or joneidy and teamchickeneater will talk about taking you in

changelog: 3/19/2011
removed a bunch of apps and made some customizations

awesome ^^! could the possibility of an OC ready kernel be here too? that was a plus for me with ROM zero although i couldn't use it cause it was a 2.2 rom.

im working on trying to get ahold of the moto xoom OS cause i want to try and port the final build of the music app onto my phone, and at a 600mhz the beta leaked apk runs ok, i don't think 600 mhz would be to great with the final though, it looks like it eats up power :O

everything we did is in the changelog and will continue to be there. One problem that we're having is in the differences in ....the exact same phone. One version of it can handle the gingerbread rom the other can't. So it's one of those things where it's like okay do we kick out a gingerbread rom and then work on that while the people with the newer phones just sit back and wish they had it or do we just work on getting the rom to work on both. Right now that's the approach that we're taking. I would rather have it working on both then on just one version of the phone.
I am taking in apprentices if anyone wants to learn how to make roms. If you would like to know how and are serious about it let me know. Hopefully people take me up on the offer now because it does take a weekend on and off and really if you tried to find all the info that I can give you it'll take around six months to get to that point. Don't think that just because you don't have computer experience you don't qualify. This stuff isn't that hard you just need a little time, alot of patience, and like to mess with stuff :D
pm me if interested

Code:
Install from scdard...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
E:Can't open /sdcard/downloads/team_chicken_eaters.zip (bad)

Installation aborted.

Just an error code i received, anyone know what happened?

First of all, go to recovery and click the wipe option and select wipe all user data. Then go back and select flash zip menu, then select toggle signature verification. And after all click the option on top of toggle signature and look for the rom and you should be all set.

still the same outcome in the end. same error code. Is there anything else i should try?

EDIT: Apparently, although the recovery was giving that error code, it installed without a hiccup. Its running smoothly

Umm try to download the rom again and make sure to eject your cellphone correctly and the click disable usb on the phone after copying the rom to the sd card. Also do as I told you before to flash it.

I edited my previous comment, but i wasnt quick enough. It's working just fine regardless of the error code.

It installed as it should have and for 10 minutes now, no issues. I've tested just about everything. working good. thanks for helping!!!!
