Certainly am glad you spoke up. Just got it set up, read your post, called my land line and no joy. Couldn't hear either way. Shut down and re-started and tried again and everything seems fine both ways now.

I thought the same thing. I loaded it, took awhile to get my apps DL'ed and everything set up. Then my wife called me, and we could not hear each other. Loaded my backup, and haven't tried it again.

Try rebooting a couple times and see if that takes care of it. I have read others post that they had that problem and it disappeared after a reboot or two.

any updates on how its been running? any bugs?

It has been running well. I still have the stock 600 kernel same as GPA14 and it is smooth as can be for me.

There is a slight bug with the native email app That Pete knows about. It doesn't always sync right due to some of the memory management aspects of GB. Pete is working on a fix and is developing GPA15 which is in beta right now. It fixes the auto-refresh with the native email app and also makes a few more memory modifications that should help free some more memory.

It has been running nicely for me. I had one random reboot yesterday, but nothing else. It runs much faster than CM 7 was for me and handles multi-tasking much better. The memory management fix in this seems to work quite well. And... the 600mhz kernal Pete has on here is flat out amazing.

I really am missing the goodies from CM, however. I'm not sure there really is much of value in stock GB versus tricked-out CM6 for me. So I'll probably roll back in another day or two (and hope the CM7 RC3 can fix the memory issues as well as Pete has done here).

The latest nightlies have been a bit better with memory management.

How is the RAM management treating everyone? I loaded it and immediately started to miss some of the features of CM7.

Been perfect so far in that I'm able to consistently get texts/emails (given other comments I see there's a problem with the native email app, but I haven't run into it yet), and can actually multi-task again. :p Kinda odd.. I'd forgotten what it's like to be able to do that after so much Gingerbreading.

Same here.

I'd planned on rolling back to CM6 to get back the CM features and multitasking, but Pete's stock is growing on me. No slow redraws in ADW Launcher, no crashes when using Pandora+Nav, very nice speeds using only 600mhz, etc.

I'm still missing the goodies, but know I'm not going back to CM7 until the memory issued are fixed as well as Pete has managed to do here.

Same here, was tempted to try Chevy's new one but this one runs so well, I can do without the customization I guess.
