It was bound to happen, Figured Id ask while it was hot. Are we all moving to the evo 3d?

I want to know where my AF peeps are going and where the devs are going. This answer alone will likely make up my mind. Im not due for an upgrade till jan, and by then something new may be on the horizon. I dont see you guys in the other forums often except Mr. Ed so I wanted to ask here.

If devs keep going with OG Evo i'm totally staying. Yes i like the idea of dual core 1.2 g snapdragon with asynchronous clock but i dont need 3D, or dual cameras, or the lack of a built in kickstand, or a few other things it has. I know the fact that its faster will draw some curiosity but do we think our fav devs and gurus will move on?

I didnt create this thread to discuss the evo 3d per se just about rooting it and the dev/root community and where they are likely to go.

Ah i was unaware of the build issues as i didnt get my evo till early january. That is a great point though. Im hoping my evo remains relevant to the devs till next january. I am also a flashaholic, i would hate to have nothing to flash but as ocn pointed out they will likely port some stuff over if there are any devs LEFT to port it over. Gives me a new kind of excitement then, looking forward to evo 3d ports :).

yeah, keeping my evo for another year or so.

you got your evo in january, are you aware of the new sprint premeir? you may or may not be due for an upgrade next january.

Yeah probably not im only a 3 yr sprint user, its only to like 10 year people isnt it? I havent read about it or anything. I upgraded in jan right before it changed when i was still premier and didnt have to be gold i guess...? By upgrade i guess i mean buy the new phone and activate it ya know. I dont usually keep a phone 2 years. In my off years i buy without using my upgrade.

I'll probably be keeping my phone for 2 years. Only a month old now. I get upgrades yearly (advantage club), but I can't really justify spending 2-300 on a new phone every year if its working OK... Plus, the EVO has great specs, no reason to think there will be a lot it cant do within a years time.

Don't really need/want 3-D, but will upgrade to a 3-D phone if theres not a better non 3-D option out when I go to buy.
