Help Thunderbolt rebooting?

Mine did that all afternoon. After spending all afternoon at the verizon store.....they gave me a new one.

your phone is shot. Even after a total reset it will probably continue. Or atleast mine did. Just take it back and get a new one.

How often was yours rebooting? Would it reboot in the middle of a call? I do NOT want to spend all afternoon at a Verizon store. Hopefully they acknowledge the problem quickly and just give me a new one.

I hope you made the snow yellow after you made the snowman.

My phone would reboot every few minutes. It didnt matter if i was in the middle of a call, email, or just messing with the phone.

I started thinking it was verizon messing up everytime the phone would switch to and from 3g/4g it would reset. That or the sim card was screwed up.

I didnt know what the deal was. I gave it all afternoon, did a factory reset, and nothing changed.

BTW I spent all afternoon because the vzw system was on the fritz, not because they didnt want to give me a new phone.

Just get a new one man. no sense in being mad about a new purchase. i got the new one and it works great. every once in a while you're going to find some lemons.

I'm having the same problem with the random reboots. It didn't start happening until the issue around data connectivity with Verizon occurred today. My phone would just be sitting doing nothing and then, bam, the HTC screen. No rhyme or reason but I think it tanks when it can't get a stable data connection after trying, or bouncing between them, for some time. More than likely an issue with how the software handles the hand off of the connections; possibly a memory leak of some type but that's just my opinion. I'll probably take the advice of others though and just take it back to get it replaced.

I have a faulty SIM card that is being replaced and my phone kept rebooting in a loop. I did everything including a factory reset to no avail. Finally just took out the bad Sim card and no reboots since. Now I'm just waiting for the new card in the mail.

They can't give you a new one at a store? Just seems crummy to have to wait for the mail to get a new SIM. :(

They are free to:cool: get at the store but I'm not able to get over to one. I have just been using Wifi and Skype to get through the day.

Okay, I was hoping that was the case. I'm surrounded by Verizon stores so if I needed a new SIM card I wouldn't want to wait on the mail. I just didn't know if they gave you both options...glad to know they did :)

I've had a Thunderbolt for a few weeks now. I've seen it reboot randomly maybe 3 times since I've had it. I don't know how many times it has actually rebooted on it's own that I haven't noticed. It's never happened when I was using it....I'll just hear it as it's coming back up and realize what just happened. Not sure if I should take it back or not...but...it can't be good and definitely doesn't seem like normal behavior.
