Root Android 3.0

Anyone know of any DEV's working on a 3.0 rom? Not that im unappreciative of all the froyo and GB roms out there, just curious

I saw an unstable version of Honeycomb on xda with a lot of stuff not working. I don't know if anyone is still working on it but they did have it running on the Evo.

Nice well, im glad that someones workin on cracking it at least.... what do they do, view the source code, and tweak it from orig parameters to EVO parameters hopin they dont crash with the mods? Not to trivialize what the DEVs do, im just tryin to get my head wrapped around this

I'm not sure how that is going on because the source code hasn't been released for honeycomb to my knowledge. Pretty sure they don't intend to release source code for 3.0. Something about not meant for phones they rushed it out. It'll make a phone shitty. Sounds like you'll have to wait for 3.1. Just a rumor from Bloomberg though...

Google is withholding the source code to Honeycomb until they incorporate the APIs for phone use.

That doesn't mean it's not possible to hack the current honeycomb onto a phone, but I'd rather wait until the OS is ready for phones instead of running a half-baked ROM just so I can say I have honeycomb.

This is just a port of the SDK. Its not off the actual source code nor is it functioning at all lol like I said makes a phone shitty.

well, i suppose thats all well and good. The DEVs roms are satisfactory(actually, thats a pretty large understatement) and if CM7 keeps metamorphasizing as it has(along with other roms), then i guess its a moot point anyhow, as always, the help and info is very appreciated
