Help Has anyone had the T-Bolt shut itself down?

So this just happened to me, and I don't see any way I could've accidentally done it. I really hope I did it, but I just don't see how. The last thing I did was check an email, then relock the phone. I picked it up again and went to unlock it. Nothing happened. I kept trying, but nothing. Then I held the power button and it started booting up. This is the first time I've had any sort of issue. My battery is at 40 percent remaining after SIXTEEN hours, so I know it's not a dead battery.

These are the changes I've made since yesterday:

Started using LauncherPro and NoLock

Disabled Sense weather sync since I can't get the animations with NoLock anyhow

That's it.

I hope it was just a fluke because, like I said, no other issues whatsoever.

has only happened once so far to me and it was this morning... it was on last night and charging and then this morning it had turned itself off and I had to hold down the power button to reboot it...hoping mine also was just a fluke and not a bug that's going to start re-occuring

Uh-oh. Are you running on Sense or another launcher?

Really funny how others have experienced this problem. While I haven't actually experienced random reboots, I called the vzw warranty center in hopes of getting a replacement tbolt because the speaker behind the kickstand was coming undone (what you see behind the kickstand isn't actually the speaker, it's a metal sticker). The guys at the vzw store more or less told me don't say that's what's wrong with the phone as it is not an internal problem and they won't do anything for you so I made up the story that the phone kept rebooting on its own. The service rep told me to do a factory reset and I said the same problem still ensued (while it didn't) and then he just shipped me a new phone. hah not too bad of customer service.

Mine has done this once when I was playing Angry Birds it just turned off mid game. It never rebooted but one strange thing did happen the amber charge lamp came on for about 15 seconds after the phone was off but it was not plugged in at all. Once the light went off I turned the phone back on like nothing happened.

Mine rebooted right after I plugged it in a night for charging and again when I unplugged it in the morning. I think it was color note because I just installed it and made a notification in the toolbar to remind me of an event and I uninstalled it and have had no problems since. I got the extended battery and thought it may have been loose so I also took it out and reinserted it. No problems in the last 2 days now.

The same thing just happened to my Tbolt. I hadn't used it in several hours and it was plugged in to the charger, so it was fully charged.

I'm running LauncherPro and using some Sense features, but the phone is not rooted.

Did anyone else install Amazon Appstore recently?

Lookout is installed, so I don't think the cause was malevolent, but this may be more problematic if this is an erratic hardware bug. I wouldn't advise using this phone as an alarm clock without a good pack up plan...

This just happened to me, and it freaked me out. I set an alarm last night, plugged the phone in, then went to sleep. I woke up this morning (of course the alarm didn't go off), tried to wake the phone up and nothing happened. Then I held the button and the phone turned on.

The other odd thing is that when the phone randomly shut down, I'm almost positive that it stopped charging itself. When I turned it on this morning it was only at 92% battery, but it had plenty of time to completely charge during the 7 hours I was sleeping. So I believe it randomly shut itself down and stopped charging - weird.

I've lost faith in this phone, because I use it as an alarm. If my alarm doesn't go off some day, I could be screwed. This can't happen again, and I don't know what to do. To my knowledge, it is the first time it has happened in the almost two weeks that I've owned it.

It's happened to me 3 times so far, and I've only had my T-Bolt for one day. :(

One time, I unplugged it from the charger and it shut down.

One time I don't remember what I was doing, but it shut down.

Another time, I was just sitting on the couch with the T-Bolt in my pocket, and I hear the lightning noise out of nowhere. I pulled it out of my pocket, and it was booting up.

The battery wasn't low any of these times.

I use LauncherPro, but it has done this before I installed it.

Hmmm. I have ColorNote too. One of the first apps I downloaded. I can't remember if it had shutdown prior to that or not.

Here's a funny story. I was talking to my wife on my lunch break a few minutes ago, and the stupid phone shut down again, in the middle of my phone call. So I said, that's it, I'm driving to the store right now to get them to fix this, or exchange it for an iPhone or something. (and believe me, that would be a last resort, because I do not want an iPhone.)

I told the lady about the problem. She took my phone back to the back.
She came out in about 10 minutes. She said, my problem was I had too many tasks running, and she had installed ATK for me. I said you've gotta be kidding me. Are you telling me that I have to have a third-party app for my phone to function correctly? She said something, I forget what. I said "Android is supposed to be able to kill tasks on it's own that are not needed." She said, actually sir that isn't true.

I gave up.
I said, ok, I'll see if that fixes it, thank you.

I am gonna be amazed if that fixes it.

I have no problems with running ATK, but it shouldn't be necessary.
Lot's of apps running might slow the system down, but to just shut it down?

Anyway, if it shuts down again, my next step will be to try uninstalling ColorNote.
