Advantage of front facing camera?

No idea. The only thing I see is that if apple makes it, everyone has to make it. If it has no usage, I might as well go for the Xperia Arc. than the Incredible S/SGS2. I prefer the dedicated camera button and something that can totally replace a compact camera.

There's also oovoo.com, Qik, Fring, and Yahoo Messenger (and other good ones whose names escape me) - I've used videochat since 2.1, so if the phone has an FFC, it'll support it.

To this day I cannot get Fring video chat to work for me. I am still waiting for Skype... that is what everyone I know uses. I actually got the EVO for that reason. Not that I am unhappy with the decision, but I wouldn't put a FFC down as something I need until they roll out Skype for us

Skype's gotten too big and evil for our own good. I'm forced to use it as it is ubiquitous - but I surely hope something like ooVoo displaces it, I really do.

I'd be happy with a better known alternative. Sadly people are stuck on Skype since it's what they know

That's what drove me to using Fring/Skype when that was available.

If you can't get Skype video, then depending upon your phone, ooVoo or Yahoo might be good alternatives.

Too many of these providers - Skype included now, sadly - are chasing the deal instead of accessibility.

I don't want to vid with other phones - I want to vid with other people. Skype worked because it was agnostic - Linux, Mac, Windows, Apple, Android - it all just worked.

Now, Skype is viewing us with FFCs as upscale marketing fodder and just getting in the way. That's my issue, personally.
