Ok fellow Android lovers, let's all sound off as to when our beloved Thunderbolts were produced? You can find out by removing the battery cover, and inside the battery cover you should find a date. Also feel free to state any issues you may be having, concerning build quality, and software issues.

Date mine was produced- 12/30/10

Issues with my device-
Power button has become recessed
2 small specs of dust under screen
Volume button not nearly perfect
Stock Battery is unreliable
Subpar call quality & Bluetooth volume is extremely low

Even with these issues, I absolutely have come to love this device!

OP - can you possibly update your post for this suggestion? I was in BB land for years and one of the things we saw was when a device currently in production was updated at the factory or at VZW before being sold, the box had a little green dot sticker on it. Curious if everyone can indicate next to their mfg date if their box had a little green dot. Mine did, and I don't have any of your problems. Couple of my own, but anyhow.....

Look for the green dot...

Yes mine has the little green sticker. And interestingly enough there looks to be 2 stickers with IMEI numbers, the newer one covering the older one.
Hmmm?

Didn't even notice that - mine has a second sticker over the original one too. I can barely see the last bunch of digits in the software version on the old sticker underneath and it's different:

Old sticker - (last bunch of digits)
1.08.605.1

new sticker -
1.12.605.6

Clearly they flashed new software and perhaps this is what caused the perceived delay?

I agree...flashing all those phones would most likely have something to do with the date being pushed back.

Unrelated, but wonder how many got bricked in the process of re-flashing thousands of devices.... Must have sucked for the bottom line to have to put that much time into what was thought to be a done deal...

I would guess not many, since they probably have a huge manufacturing table where they can plug in hundreds or thousands of devices and push the software.

Yes, about 90% of the sticker is showing on the same panel as imei sticker. It's like they put on the dot barely on top of the old sticker, just on the edge, then put the new imei sticker on.

Mine is like that also. I don't think they did a re flash I think the bar codes were bad so they had to re do them all. I would bet this was the reason for the launch delay.

Not sure about that - why would the sw version change then from the old sticker of 1.08.605.1 to the new one of 1.12.605.6? Phone information shows the new 1.12.605.6 in the Software number in settings - about phone. Maybe they had the boxes all made with stickers attached before actually loading the software? Anyhow, it's interesting that there is a replacement sticker at all. The green dot leads me to believe it was VZW, not HTC, since I've seen the green dots on verizon bb's as well. In fact, there were a few times where people wouldn't even buy a bb at vzw unless it had the green dot, knowing that the software had already been updated.
