Help Strangest thing happened today

I charged my phone before going to work around 2pm and it was at 80%. So i silent phone my as i always do and well work. I check my phone 2 hours later and its at the point of dying, and nothing was running in the background. Has this happened to anyone today?

It happens if the phone is in a very bad reception area. If you keep it in a bag or something where it struggles to get a signal, it will kill the battery trying to keep the signal with the towers.

That and apps that drain power may be your culprit. Hard to tell with the lack of info.

Well i would take that as an explanation but, the thing is this is the first time this has happened since i got the phone. This has never happened to me and i was in work yesterday and it didnt happen to me.

How long did you charge the phone before you took it off? The battery meter is inaccurate and could show 80% when it's only at 40% or less. This is a known issue.

i charged it for a good 4 hours before i took it off

Do you have a lot of widgets loaded

I only have 3 widgets , they are Pandora, calendar, and handcent. But iv always had those so they wouldn't be a problem. Imma charge it over night and see in the morning if this happens again. The night after it was losing its charge extremely quickly.
