It seems the update was pulled. I had been checking my phone periodically this morning and when it was available I updated. I hope there aren't problems with it. So far so good. I didn't sign up for the beta testing, so this thing went live for a little while.

Me too! DL it this morning and I did not sign up for beta testing! Seems ok so far!
Two things i've noticed immediately are apps that used to hang up when pushing the back button don't any more (ex: my local news app and phandroid app) and more information in the battery ussage menu...now it shows individual apps and we should be able to identify battery hogs a lot easier!
Lucky... I want an update... [ Bell user with TERRIBLE battery life and tried every trick to locate rogue apps to no avail. ] Still getting 5 hours with MINIMUM usage.
I swear i've tried every trick. Even with dimming my screen the % is always 30 - 40 no matter what brightness setting I have. (I assumed it would drop SIGNIFICANTLY from 0 - 100% brightness but I guess not. I want to disable Motoblur as it takes up a lot to run.)
Yes, you will have to root again, but they are still working on getting root for the OTA. The way that you rooted doesn't work with this OTA, they fixed the vulnerabilities that the initial root used to exploit.
I believe someone has root now, and they are working on a script for the masses...so I am waiting until the script is out and working before I do the OTA.

Wow you're worst than me *hugs*. I suggest you do a factory reset and slowly add back the apps you want one at a time to see how each affect your battery life.
Up here in alaska on at&t.
Atrix got full day of life with heavy usage and fast on everything.
Just installed update, im betting both will improve greatly
So happy with this phone over my old desire.
I got the update too, noticed when charging it still stays on and also I had google.com as my home page in my browser and it now loads in spanish, even if i type in the address bar google.com, it still loads in spanish. And it is the only site that does it all others load in english. Anyone having that issue too.

I don't mind loosing my root if I download the update, but I don't want to lose my off market apps. Anyone know if those stay or if they wiped out when the update unroots?
DLing right now! Sweet! Right now, I get a solid 2 days out of my battery and have been impressed with this phone since the day i got it. Except motoblur...except...motoblur...
The google.com issue is not because of the update, I did some searches once I got home from work and it's something to do with google thinking my phone is in a spanish speaking area for some reason, I just hit the english link and saved that and good to go.
I did test the screen again and it does turn off!!
