Help How Do i Backup My Xoom

offload your personally stored music and video files to your computer.

android market backs up your purchased apps. it does not remember your free apps, however it should not be hard to remember what apps you installed.

you could also sync up with appbrain and let it remember your apps for redundancy.

treat this just like your backing up an android handset if you are familiar with android handsets. this is the same. google remembers your contacts, etc...

Eh? It sure does remember your free apps. When I got my Xoom and first logged in, it tried to download every app that I currently have on my Nexus One. No rooting, no special software, nothing.

Actually, you're right. I'm not sure how I forgot that. I had to go through and delete a bunch of apps. I what list it builds from. I have a DInc and NC, both linked to the same Google account. It'd be nice to have discrete lists assigned to each within the same account. Then, you could go to the web-based App Market and pick which device you would like to install apps to.

There's a GREAT idea, if I say so myself.

I suspect it does only if you only have one device connected to the market through that particular Gmail account.

On my Gmail account, I have multiple devices connected. Each device locally maintains a list of what free apps are installed on it through the local Market client. On the market web site, however, it only provides a comprehensive list of what apps were installed. At present it doesn't differentiate between what was installed on each particular device.
