Well, don't feel alone... my Droid can't run Gingerbread. It wipes the tags off half my music, no matter WHAT ROM I tried. And I'm not going to add back tags to 419 songs just to run GB

    Good luck...

glad im not the only one that has issues with music and gingerbread.
every GB rom ive tried removes all tags other than song title :(

I think it's a prob with LP itself and that it's just not optimized for GB yet. Fede is rewriting the entire app, and that's probably something that'll be addressed when he's finally able to push that update. At least I'm hoping.
Me too and I hope so! My DrOID seems to really like gingerbread, but I don't keep a ton of music on my DrOID. My iPod handles that chore just fine. Haven't tried UD 3.2 yet but LGB 1.42 is rocking for me.

Anyone else run into the stupid status bar force closing problem yet?
And if so, is there anything to do to fix it, other than going back to 3.1.1?

    Update:

For those who are encountering the force close bug with the status bar, just make sure you don't enable "am/pm" mode under the status bar options in the UD menu. Turning this off instantly and rebooting the phone fixed the problem for me.

Just in case anyone cares. :)

I was having this issue with my music running GB ROMs also. I have probably 760 songs in my D1.
Please note that my music is really organized (OCD I know! :p) artist, song titles, playlists and album art.
What I had to do was re-sync all of my music everytime I flashed a GB ROM... I'm using Doubletwist app with AirSync- it works perfectly (it doesnt take too long) :D

this might be a solution for you guys - I dont know.

Well I tried it over the weekend and it seems that the magnet sensor is broken on this one. Didn't activate either the dock or the cardock. I know some people won't mind but I use the media and car dock all the time. Tried several reboots, but it didn't fix it. Back to 3.0.

I have two desk docks and two car docks, and 3.2.5 works fine in all of them. While the problem you're having may be software related, I don't think it has to do with the ROM itself.

I tried using Copilot for the first time in a while this morning and got no audio. I tried Google Navigation and got a popup message telling me I had to download TTS data files. When I tapped OK I was redirected to the Market to install "SpeechSynthesis Data Installer" by "Android TextToSpeech". Suspicous of the publisher (not being Google), I proceeded to Settings > Voice input & output settings > Text-to-speech settings, where I found most of the options grayed out, but "Install voice data" was selectable. Tapping that brought me to the same Market link.

After doing a backup in ROM Manager, I re-flashed 3.2.5, wiping data and cache, and still had the same situation. I then tried re-flashing 3.2 and got the same results.

I'm sure this was working at some point with UD, but I'm pretty sure I started with Peter Alfonso's Gingerbread ROM, the flashed (without wiping) UD, starting with 3.0, then 3.1, 3.2, and finally 3.2.5. At some point in there I know TTS was working, but somewhere along the way these files disappeared.

I pretty sure it was UD 3.1 that claimed great space savings, when a lot of stock ringtones were missing, etc. Was removing TTS data a means of saving space in the ROM?

Regardless, I'm confused about what happened to my TTS data files that were previously working.

I don't know about 3.2 as I went from 3.0 to 3.3.0 and then 3.3.1, but I know blackdroid removed a lot of things to make more room. I had to go reinstall speach recognition and TTS in order to get them to work. I just flashed to 3.3.1 last night so I haven't tried tts or speach recognition yet but the mic is still on my on screen keyboard so it must still be there. I never did go to 3.2 as it didn't agree with my Droid for some reason but so far 3.3.1 is working good. Very snappy!!:D

Update: tried navigation, Yeah it's missing the speach file. I don't use the turn by turn so it doesn't bother me, I'll try downloading it tonight to see if I can get it to work and let you know.
