So I was reading up on the new features that were added to Gingerbread and I read that the Gingerbread kernel is supposed to be 2.6.35.x. I took a look and our GingerBlur is still running off of the same 2.6.32.9 as our Froyo build (admittedly, some of the post script that follows that kernel version is different).

Does this mean that we lack improvements that should come with a true Gingerbread kernel?

I was under the impression we are still able to SBF back to 2.340 because this SBF didn't change the signing key that is on the bootloader.

So we can still use the 2.340-Full because it is signed with the same key as the GB leak.

If the gb leak was signed with the 2.340 key and then changed the key during the update we wouldn't be able to move back to 2.340.

Or I could be way off in the other field...

the kernel might be the same as .340 because this is an early build of GB. Maybe it wasn't moved to the new kernel but the final versoin should be.

This may sound ignorant, but I hope so. Various sites have mentioned improvements from the Froyo kernel to the Gingerbread one, and I definitely don't want to miss out on a single iota of performance boosts.
