Google Chrome bookmarks on my Android 2.2 phone?

Google Chrome ships by default with a terrific little feature called "Sync". Sync basically allows you to share your bookmarks on any computer running Google Chrome, simply by configuring Chrome to use your Gmail account. I love this because I have two computers at home, and one at work, and can access all the same bookmarks from any of the computers.

My question is, is anyone aware of a method or application that would allow me to access these synced Google bookmarks through my Android phone? I am using an HTC Desire with Froyo (Cyanogenmod 6.0). I use the Dolphin HD browser, and am aware of options of importing my bookmarks manually, however I prefer to keep my bookmarks organized into folders and not just displayed as one long list.

Any help or insight would be appreciated. If nothing already exists, I may just get scripty and server up a website that would display all of my Chrome bookmarks in the browser.

There is an option for those of us using 2.2 called Chrome to Phone which allows you to send pages that you are viewing in Chrome to your Android. You can pick up the Apk info from the above link, but you can also just search for it in the market as well.. You can also get the extension for the Chrome browser from here.

If you want, there is also a Mobile Browser Simulator extension as well as a QR relay extension for Chrome too. The Simulator really shows you how those pages might look on your phone.

I do use Chrome to Phone quite a bit, it's a very useful app but not quite what I'm after. I've got about 100 bookmarks for various things (personal, work, etc) with their own subfolders, and would prefer if they could be maintained in that hierarchy on my phone. I think my best bet will probably be to write a little webpage that will displayed all my Chrome bookmarks on a website in that hierarchy, and use that as the start page on my phone.

Ahhh, sorry I misunderstood.

You could just use Google Bookmarks and there are apps that will import from that, like Google Bookmarks Assister2. I don't think any of them will offer you the option to put folders in the bookmarks on your phone though. I don't think Android allows for foldered bookmarks, not natively anyway.

I was just wondering about this myself, so will check out the Google Bookmarks Assister later. I'm not sure about Chrome, but the Google Toolbar for Firefox has an "Import Firefox bookmarks" into Google Bookmarks function.

This all sounds like an import/export process rather than a synchronisation process, but I don't change bookmarks very often, so it's not a problem.

hi mate,

you might want to check out ChromeMarks ... you can't import chrome bookmarks into Dolphin as it doesn't handle the folders correctly. This app structures them just the way you want, does full instant sync with all your other chrome browsers [and I do mean instant!],sorts them in various ways and other stuff. Best of all it's less than

I run mozilla firefox web browser on my computer But I want to be able to access my bookmarks on my phone... Is there a way to save the bookmarks on to my phone or on my sd card?

Check out xmarks. I don't use it, but from what I understand, you can set it up to access your bookmarks from their Android app. It might require a yearly membership. Not sure if you are only looking for free options or not...
